Talent Acquisition Specialist

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled, experienced, and collaborative Talent Acquisition (TA) Specialist to join our team. The TA Specialist conducts full-life-cycle recruiting for internal and external roles in support of hiring initiatives and strategies across a specified division/area. The TA Specialist collaborates closely with hiring managers to identify, source, interview, select, hire, and onboard top talent.

You must be able to work 100% onsite in Brea, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Builds and maintains relationships with hiring managers to help determine workforce needs and execute a high-volume recruitment and onboarding strategy.
  • Manages full-life cycle recruitment process (sourcing, pre-screening, assessments, work within ATS, background checks, substance screening, create offer letters, onboarding, etc.) for all candidates within designated region/area; utilizes direct sourcing, internet recruiting, networking, employee referrals and creative sourcing expertise to identify qualified candidates.
  • Develops a thorough understanding of the marketplace in which we recruit and establishes networks; maintains awareness of competitor data, industry trends and best-in-class recruitment practices.
  • Extract and analyze data from ATS and other systems used by the TA team; provide weekly reports to key stakeholders and make recommendations to improve process efficiency.
  • Tracks candidate status and onboarding process within the ATS; actively dispositions candidates to maintain accurate documentation for recruitment efforts, applicant flow, interviews, hires, and other selection and onboarding activities.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with Trade Schools/Military Bases as a resource in attracting talent.
  • Ensures compliance with all state and federal laws/regulations regarding selection and onboarding; provides guidance to hiring managers on legal requirements (interviewing, ban-the-box, adverse action, etc.).
  • Attends and coordinates recruitment and hiring events; tracks attendance data for future event planning.
  • Performs other duties/projects as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Talent Acquisition/Recruitment and/or HR. Experience recruiting in skilled trades preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience working with applicant tracking systems (ATS), Greenhouse preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work as part of a team and independently.
  • Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PPT and Outlook)
  • Familiarity with HR operations, such as hiring, payroll, employee benefits, labor law and compliance.
  • Willingness to travel within designated region up to 25%.

Pay Range

$80,000 - $85,000 USD
