Key Outcomes

  • Produce daily social videos along with 1 to 2 high-quality brand videos per month
  • Help develop a social-first video style and tone for the organization that aligns with platform-specific best practices
  • Collaborate with brand and social media specialists to translate brand and social goals into visual narratives
  • Partner with community organizers and supporters to co-create content that centers their voices and stories

The core competencies for the role are:

  • Social Video Expertise: You have a deep understanding of platform-native video storytelling. You are skilled at producing short-form, emotionally engaging content optimized for social engagement and shareability. You are comfortable appearing on camera or voicing videos when needed.

  • Storytelling Craft: You are a skilled interviewer who can build trust, guide subjects through emotionally resonant storytelling, and surface powerful material that creates a compelling narrative. You have deep respect for community narratives, and you practice ethical consent, inclusive representation, and storytelling that centers the storyteller’s voice and agency.

  • Innovation & Creativity: You are creative in your thinking about both strategy and content production, pushing the boundaries of what’s been done before. You have a strong grasp of emerging trends and innovative tactics. You are curious and experimental, and you take an iterative approach to content development.

  • Collaboration: You take a collaborative approach to building your creative vision, partnering across various functions (brand, social, product, etc.) to understand their goals. You welcome feedback and demonstrate a willingness to rapidly revise, rethink, and evolve ideas. You value diverse perspectives and integrate them thoughtfully to elevate the quality and impact of the work.

  • Analytical Mindset: You use data insights to inform future content strategy and storytelling styles. You understand how your content performs and use that knowledge to improve emotional hooks, pacing, formats, and platform-specific choices. You know how to interpret basic metrics like watch time, engagement, and drop-off.

  • Video Production Judgment & Facilitation: You have strong creative and technical judgment across the video production lifecycle — from concept to delivery. You know what high-quality video looks like. While you may not specialize in polished, high-production shoots, you can confidently commission, brief, and manage external collaborators for things like sound, lighting, and cinematography.

Target experience

  • 5+ years of experience with social-first video production
  • Familiarity with high-quality video shoots – either hands-on or as a creative lead who guides execution

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
