HRBP People & Talent (9 month fixed term)
Change.org is searching for a 9 month fixed term HR Business Partner to provide practical, trusted HR partnership that helps managers and employees across functions navigate their day-to-day people needs smoothly and feel supported through every stage of their employee journey at Change.org.

Key outcomes:
- Exec stakeholders across departments are confident in day to day partnership and support, with appropriate escalations.
- Managers and employees across allocated departments feel supported and confident navigating day-to-day people processes, policies, and challenges.
- Employee lifecycle moments — from onboarding to offboarding — are delivered smoothly, accurately, and with care.
- Performance conversations and feedback processes are well-supported, timely, and aligned with Change.org’s values and practices.
- Employee relations matters are handled thoughtfully and consistently, with appropriate escalation and partnership where needed.
The most important core competencies for the role are:
- Trusted Advisor: Able to build strong, supportive relationships with managers and employees, offering clear guidance grounded in empathy and fairness.
- HR Operations Excellence: Confident managing and executing people processes and systems accurately and consistently across the employee lifecycle.
- Effective Communicator: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt style to different audiences and handle sensitive topics with care.
- Problem Solver: Solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity, troubleshoot issues, and escalate appropriately.
- Collaboration & Teamwork: Works well across teams and functions, contributing to a positive, connected People & Talent team culture.
- Adaptability & Resilience: Comfortable working in a fast-changing, remote-first environment, balancing multiple priorities with flexibility and care.
Target experience:
- 3+ years of experience in a People-focused role, ideally as an HR Business Partner or similar.
- Experience working in a remote-first, international, or European-focused environment.
- Familiarity with key HR systems (e.g., Lattice, BambooHR, or similar).
- Demonstrated ability to support performance management processes, employee relations, and other core HR functions.
- A plus: Experience with European HR operations, including knowledge of local employment laws, policies, and cultural nuances across multiple countries.

This is a 9 month fixed term role and we’re open to hiring in the US (Eastern Time only), UK or Germany.
Our compensation philosophy is based on pay equity. All of our salaries are determined before we launch a role – they are based on a predetermined salary scale, the level on that scale and the cost of labor for that location. In Germany, the annual salary of an HRBP is 74,500 EUR. In the UK, the annual salary of an HRBP is 67,500 EUR. We are also open to hiring a Senior HRBP for this role.
