Staff Production Engineer
Change.org is searching for a Staff Production Engineer to drive the enhancement of our global infrastructure and collaborate on building and scaling technology solutions. You will report to our Senior Manager of Engineering. As a key member of our Engineering team, you’ll lead the design and maintenance of Terraform infrastructure, ensure robust monitoring through our observability stack, collaborate on scalable service-oriented architecture, and participate in the on-call rotation

Key Outcomes:
- Oversee the architecture and quality of our Terraform codebase.
- Monitor our site, internal services and databases with our state-of-the-art observability stack.
- Partner with our constituent engineering teams to architect and build out our service oriented architecture in a scalable, secure and cost effective manner.
- This job is expected to participate in our on call rotation
The most important core competencies for the role are:
- Kubernetes (must have)
- Terraform (must have)
- Core AWS services and tools such as IAM,RDS, ElastiCache, EC2, S3, Route53
- CI/CD tools like CircleCI or Jenkins
- Experience with debugging, monitoring and troubleshooting tools such as NewRelic, Sentry, etc.
- Experience working with CDN platforms (e.g., Cloudflare, AWS CloudFront, Akamai)
- Hands-on experience with on-call management
- Proficient in at least one scripting language (Python or Ruby on Rails)
- Familiarity with API-based internal tooling platforms (e.g., Retool or similar)
- Ability to mentor and lead with influence
- English fluency (Minimum B2)
Target experience:
- BS in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent experience in engineering roles
- 7+ years experience managing infrastructures of different scales
- 7+ years experience in related engineering roles (DevOps, SRE, Production Engineering, etc.)

This is a full-time remote role available in two different formats:
- Full-Time Employee: MX $1,792,500/year gross via a local third-party entity.
- Contractor: MX$2,330,250/year gross.
