Senior RF Electrical Engineer

Role Overview
Chaos is seeking a Senior RF Electrical Engineer to support the design, development, integration, and test of advanced sensor systems. You will work with a highly talented and motivated team in a fast-paced agile environment. A successful candidate should be able to anticipate and pro-actively tackle problems, collaborate openly, communicate clearly and concisely, and possess an innovative mindset.
Responsibilities:
- Work with an agile team to design and perform trades of various component selections including amplifiers, mixers, switches, resistors, diodes, filters, and antennas
- Design and conduct simulations in linear and EM simulators, develop schematics and layouts, perform analysis, conduct testing and integration, and contribute towards test equipment design
- Utilize knowledge and experience with RF design tools such as HFSS, AWR, ADS, Ansys, Altium, and/or others
- Provide technical expertise from development through production & post-production phases
- Work full-time onsite out of our office in Hawthorne, California
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics, Math or related degree
- 5+ years professional experience in designing microwave RF circuits
- Design, analysis, and test experience in high frequency circuits
- Experience with RF test equipment, such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, and network analyzers as well as transmission line, s-parameter, and matching network analysis.
- Ability to work on-site in Hawthorne, CA
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced Degree (MS/PhD) in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics, Math or related degree
- Experience with design and development of advanced sensor systems
- Experience with radar architecture, hardware requirements development, and flow-down process
- Component and module test experience
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and collaborate on small teams
- Demonstrated ability to innovate
- Proposal experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
