Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Program Scheduler will develop, maintain, and analyze Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) supporting Massed Modular Aircraft program across all lifecycle phases — from concept/development and design through qualification, production, fielding, and in-service/sustainment support. This role will support both U.S. government/defense contracts and commercial customer agreements, requiring familiarity with the differing scheduling rigor, reporting requirements, and contractual drivers of each. The ideal candidate partners closely with Program Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Finance to build realistic, resource-loaded, risk-informed schedules and to proactively identify and communicate schedule risk before it impacts program execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and Integrated Master Plans (IMP) across all program phases: development/design, test and qualification, production, delivery, and in-service/sustainment support.
  • Build resource-loaded, logic-driven schedules with clearly defined critical path(s), key milestones, and deliverable dependencies.
  • Integrate engineering, manufacturing, test, supply chain, and quality inputs into a single, coherent program schedule baseline.
  • Maintain schedule baselines and manage baseline change control in accordance with program and corporate schedule management procedures.
  • Perform critical path analysis, schedule margin/float analysis, and schedule risk assessment (e.g., Monte Carlo/schedule risk analysis) to identify and quantify risk to key milestones.
  • Conduct schedule health checks (e.g., DCMA 14-point assessment) to ensure schedule quality, logic integrity, and compliance with contractual and corporate standards.
  • Identify schedule variances, root causes, and recovery/workaround options; communicate impacts clearly to program leadership.
  • Support Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs), Program Management Reviews (PMRs), and Milestone/Gate reviews with schedule status, analysis, and risk input.
  • Tailor scheduling approach and reporting cadence/format to the requirements of the applicable contract framework — including EVM-compliant scheduling for cost-type/FAR-based government contracts and more streamlined milestone-based scheduling for commercial or fixed-price agreements.
  • Support development of contractually required schedule deliverables (e.g., IMS/IMP submittals, Contract Data Requirements List/CDRL schedule products) for government programs.
  • Support customer schedule reviews and data calls, including potential international/Foreign Military Sales (FMS) or Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) customer engagements.
  • Partner with Financial Analysts to integrate schedule and cost performance data for EAC development and variance analysis.
  • Work with Supply Chain to incorporate supplier and long-lead procurement schedules into the program-level IMS.
  • Coordinate with Engineering and Manufacturing on technical baseline changes and their schedule impacts.
  • Support proposal scheduling, including development of Basis of Estimate (BOE) schedules and schedule risk inputs for new business pursuits.
  • Maintain and administer scheduling software/tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Oracle Primavera P6, or equivalent) and integration with cost/EVM tools.
  • Prepare schedule status reports, dashboards, and metrics (e.g., schedule performance index/SPI, milestone trend charts) for internal and customer reporting.
  • Maintain schedule documentation and audit trail supporting government and internal reviews.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management or a related technical field
  • Minimum 5 years of program scheduling experience, with direct exposure to defense/aerospace industry
  • Proficiency with scheduling tools such as Oracle Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
  • Working knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and EIA-748 EVMS guidelines.
  • Experience developing and maintaining Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) across full program lifecycle — development through production and in-service/sustainment support.
  • Exposure to both defense (EVM/FAR-based) and commercial customer scheduling frameworks.
  • Familiarity with DCMA 14-point schedule assessment and schedule risk analysis (SRA)/Monte Carlo tools (e.g., Acumen Fuse, Safran Risk).
  • Experience supporting Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs) and formal government program reviews.

Preferred Requirements:

  • PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) or similar certification
  • Ability to obtain/maintain Secret/Top Secret/SCI clearance
