Supervisor, Cardiac Testing Department

Position Overview

The Cardiac Testing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of cardiac diagnostic services at our Pomona and Rancho Cucamonga locations. This role ensures high-quality patient care, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance while leading a team of cardiac technicians and support staff.

Location

This position will supervise cardiac testing facilities at both our Pomona and Rancho Cucamonga locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Staff Management: Supervise, train, and evaluate cardiac technicians and support staff across both locations, including scheduling, performance management, and professional development.
  • Operations Management: Coordinate daily operations of the cardiac testing department, ensuring efficient workflow, equipment maintenance, and resource utilization.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality control programs to ensure accuracy of cardiac diagnostic procedures and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Patient Care: Ensure exceptional patient care through proper test preparation, education, and follow-up protocols.
  • Multi-Site Coordination: Effectively manage operations between Pomona and Rancho Cucamonga facilities, ensuring consistent protocols and service quality.
  • Protocol Development: Develop, implement, and review departmental policies and procedures in accordance with current guidelines and best practices.
  • Budget Management: Assist in preparing and managing department budgets, including equipment acquisition and maintenance planning.
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and testing services.
  • Compliance: Ensure departmental adherence to all relevant healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and safety protocols.
  • Technology Management: Oversee the implementation and utilization of cardiac testing equipment and related technologies.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 2-3 year experience in Cardiovascular Technology, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or related field
  • Previous supervisory experience (2+ years preferred)
  • Knowledge of cardiac testing procedures including ECG, stress testing, Holter monitoring, and echocardiography
  • Understanding of healthcare regulations and accreditation requirements
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with healthcare information systems and electronic medical records
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel between locations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certification, preferred
  • Experience managing multiple healthcare locations
  • Knowledge of continuous quality improvement methodologies
  • Experience with budget management and resource allocation

Physical Requirements

The position requires standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally and assist in patient positioning when necessary. Manual dexterity and visual acuity needed for equipment operation and patient assessment.

Work Environment

Work is performed in a clinical setting with exposure to patients with various health conditions. May require travel between Pomona and Rancho Cucamonga locations (approximately 15 miles apart).

Schedule

Full-time position, Monday through Friday with rotating on-call responsibilities. May require occasional weekend coverage based on departmental needs.
