Credentialing Specialist
Verify that all prospective applications and addendums are complete, signed and dated. Perform primary source verification on each provider file. Assure that all credentialing files are processed according to AKIDO Credentialing Policy and Procedures. Monitor regulatory body websites on a regular basis and reports to the medical practice commission. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or equivalent Computer skills required: Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Access, and Excel) Experience with Internet Access & Searches. 2-3 years of credentialing experience in a hospital administrative setting, or multi-specialty medical group. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS: None. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos, and write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations for credentialing purposes. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram form. Ability to problem solve in a variety of situations within the organization to carry out credentialing functions.
