- Perform surgeries to correct structural issues, remove tumors, or address other conditions.
- Examples include tonsillectomies, adenoidectomies, sinus surgery, and reconstructive surgery of the head and neck.

- Conduct thorough patient examinations, including reviewing medical history and performing physical exams.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as x-rays, audiograms, and laryngoscopy.

- Head and Neck Oncology: Treating tumors and cancers of the head and neck.
- Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery: Performing cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the face and neck.
- Hearing and Voice Disorders: Diagnosing and treating hearing loss, tinnitus, and voice disorders.
- Allergies: Managing allergies and allergic conditions.
- Pediatric Otolaryngology: Focusing on ENT conditions in children.
- Head and Neck Oncology: Treating tumors and cancers of the head and neck.
- Education:
- Medical degree (MD or DO).
- Completion of a residency in otolaryngology.
- Some pursue fellowships for further specialization.
