About Us
Chariot Defense is a defense technology company that designs and manufactures a family of power products for the U.S. military and its allies. We believe that credible deterrence of armed conflict and winning if deterrence fails, requires more than just the best drones, sensors, weapons, electronic warfare systems, and command & control capabilities. Those critical components will require sustained electric power in austere and resource-constrained environments. Moreover, military units must be able to turn off the trucks and generators that generate this power to hide and survive. In other words, power generation must be decoupled from power consumption. Chariot Defense’s products enable exactly this capability, allowing U.S. and allied militaries to be more lethal and survivable. We hope you will join us on this mission.
About the Role
Chariot Defense is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Material Handler / Inventory Operations Specialist to join our operations team, reporting to the Head of Operations. As we scale production across multiple power product lines, we need a dependable hands-on operator to keep our warehouse organized, our inventory accurate, and our manufacturing floor continuously supplied. This role is responsible for the physical receipt, storage, kitting, and issuance of components and finished goods—as well as maintaining precise records in our ERP system. The role demands speed, accuracy, and the ability to stay composed and organized in a dynamic, high-throughput environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receiving & Inspection: Receive, count, and inspect incoming shipments of components and raw materials against purchase orders. Identify and escalate discrepancies, damages, or non-conformances immediately to the procurement team.
- Storage & Organization: Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized stockroom and manufacturing floor. Ensure all materials are properly labeled, located, and stored in designated bin locations within the ERP system. Remove unneeded components and materials from the work areas.
- Kitting & Staging: Pick, kit, and stage materials to support production work orders on schedule. Communicate proactively with manufacturing and operations teams to prevent shortages and minimize line-stop events.
- Inventory Accuracy & ERP: Execute cycle counts, physical inventory audits, and real-time inventory transactions in our ERP system with 100% traceability. Escalate discrepancies and documentation gaps as they are identified.
- Shipping & Logistics Support: Assist in packing and shipping finished goods and spare parts orders. Help coordinate with carriers and the procurement team to support on-time delivery and compliant shipping documentation.

- A team-first attitude. You take pride in enabling your peers to succeed and actively look for ways to improve workflow, reduce waste, and keep the operation running smoothly.
