POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Sales Analyst who will play a key role in helping support, operate and scale the indirect sales channel with a focus on back-office support for Sales Managers in their role of growing the Aggregators/Brokers/Consultants (ABC) sales channel and the Sales Originators with the Direct Sales channel, including contract administration, data scrubbing and processing, deal loading and pricing and account management.  We are looking for a highly organized, upbeat and positive-natured problem-solver who is diligent, analytical and has at least one (1) year of experience in a sales support role with a Retail Electric Provider.  The person in this role will report to the Director of Sales.  We want someone who is accountable to themselves with a strong background in Microsoft Excel (Access/SQL experience a big plus).  The Sales Analyst will be expected to make data-based decisions, is competitive and sees obstacles as opportunities. 

This role will be located in Houston, Texas, and the ideal candidate will be within commutable distance to the Houston office location. This is an onsite required role.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitate the flow of data for the Sales team as ABC’s are submitting RFP’s; scrubbing data, loading deals for pricing and other data entry, reaching out to ABC’s for additional information as needed.
  • Support the back-office administrative needs of the Direct Sales channel; Deal Pipeline reporting cleanup, data management and compliance, and other back-office support tasks.
  • Oversee and enforce the data conventions of the Sales Desk (filenames, shared email inbox organization, data entry formats, etc.)
  • Establish, manage and maintain inter-departmental channels to optimize data exchange for processing contracts, customer change requests, etc.
  • Assist with Sales side Contract Administration and Account Management (meter adds, deletes, customer information updating, etc.)
  • Step in to assist Sales Team members with assorted support requests like sending out pricing, contacting brokers and customers for data follow-up requests and various other client management tasks.
  • Act as an internal subject matter expert ‘SME’ with regards to Chariot’s systems and processes for the Sales Team and others.
  • Able to ‘wear multiple hats’, and ‘think outside-of-the-box’ in a highly competitive and commodity-driven industry and not settle for the ‘status quo.’

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 1+ years of indirect sales support experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Experience in Deregulated Electricity markets required.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills coupled with strong analytical skills.
  • Strong technical experience in Excel.
  • Ability to document business requirements in an accurate, unambiguous and succinct fashion.
  • Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.
  • Must be self-motivated, possess a strong work ethic and able to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and multiple deadlines.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous working experience on a Retail Electric Provider’s Indirect Sales Desk.
  • VBA/Access/SQL technical skills
  • Direct experience working and interacting with Aggregators/Brokers/Consultants.
  • Experience utilizing various pricing engine tools, bidding and contracting templates
  • Juggle multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly, based on anticipated business results.
  • Ability to present and speak articulately to colleagues and leadership in a succinct manner.
  • Bilingual - Spanish speaking

 

COMPENSATION: $57,000 - $73,000 salary
