Die CRA Life-Science Abteilung unterstützt Pharma-, Biotechnologie-, Diagnostik- und Medizintechnikunternehmen dabei, ein optimales Ergebnis in allen wichtigen Aspekten ihres Geschäfts zu erzielen, inklusive  Produktinnovation, kommerziellem Erfolg, Organisation und Reputation – alles zum langfristigen Nutzen von Patienten, Ärzten, Mitarbeitern und Aktionären. Associate Principal

Bei der Position des Associate Principal handelt es sich um eine leitende Rolle, welche die Gestaltung von Strategien für Marktzugang, Erstattung, und Preisfindung, oder Strategien zur kommerzielle Entwicklung und Markteinführung von Produkten des Pharmazie, Medizintechnik und Diagnostikbereichs umfaßt. Sie agieren als vertrauenswürdige*r Berater*in für Führungskräfte, helfen Kunden, komplexe politische und kommerzielle Herausforderungen über den gesamten Produktlebenszyklus zu bewältigen, und tragen zum Wachstum unserer Praxis bei.

Aufgaben:
• Leitung und Management komplexer Projekte von Anfang bis Ende, Sicherstellung von hoher Qualität, Rentabilität und Kundenzufriedenheit.
• Fähigkeit zur intellektueller Führung und Partnerschaft mit Kunden und Teams, Entwicklung optimaler kommerzieller und/oder, Preis- und Marktzugangsstrategien durch Verständnis der Funktion von Gesundheitssystemen, und der Bedürfnisse von Kostenträgern, Anbietern und Patienten weltweit.
• Überwachung und Synthese primärer und sekundärer Marktforschung zur Entwicklung fundierter Schlussfolgerungen, Implikationen und umsetzbarer Empfehlungen.
• Identifizierung und Verfolgung neuer Geschäftsmöglichkeiten, Unterstützung bei der Angebotserstellung und Beitrag zu Thought-Leadership-Aktivitäten zur Stärkung der Marktpräsenz des Unternehmens.
• Hauptansprechpartner*in für Kunden während der Projektbearbeitung, Aufbau und Pflege starker Beziehungen durch effektive Kommunikation und exzellente Leistung.
• Unterstützung bei der Rekrutierung, Entwicklung und Betreuung von Junior-Teammitgliedern, Förderung einer kollaborativen und inklusiven Kultur und Sicherstellung des Wissenstransfers innerhalb der Praxis.

Qualifikationen:
• Höherer akademischer Abschluss (Doktorgrad, Mastergrad, Diplom) oder Bachelor mit gleichwertige Berufserfahrung
• Mindestens 6+ Jahre umfassende Erfahrung in der Beratung von Life-Sciences-Unternehmen zu Marken- und kommerziellen Strategiethemen und/oder Expertise in der Entwicklung globaler Preis- und Marktzugangsstrategien
• Nachgewiesene Management- und Geschäftsentwicklungsfähigkeiten im Bereich Life Sciences
• Fähigkeit, verschiedene analytische und Forschungstechniken anzuwenden, um Empfehlungen für Kunden zu entwickeln
• Anerkannte Fähigkeit, Präsentationen zu halten, Workshops zu moderieren und/oder Expertenrat zu wichtigen Branchenthemen zu geben
• Erfahrung in der Förderung der beruflichen Entwicklung von Mitarbeitern
• Fähigkeit, neue Geschäftsmöglichkeiten zu identifizieren und deren Umsetzung in Projektarbeit zu unterstützen
• Ausgezeichnete mündliche und schriftliche Kommunikationsfähigkeiten in Englisch und Deutsch
• Vertrautheit mit einer Professional-Services-Kultur und Fähigkeit, mit Menschen auf allen Ebenen des Unternehmens zu interagieren
• Bereitschaft, ein 3-Tage-Büromodell in unserem Münchner Büro zu leben, kombiniert mit erforderlichen Reisen für Kundentermine

CRA’s Life Sciences practice helps pharmaceutical, biotechnology, diagnostics and medical device companies achieve optimum performance across key aspects of their business, including innovation, commercial success, organization, and reputation, all for the long-term benefit of patients, clinicians, employees, and shareholders. We work with life sciences businesses directly as well as with their legal counsel, industry associations, government organizations, and advocacy groups from the earliest stages of research into new therapy areas, through product development, to the delivery of products that will achieve commercial success and fulfill the expectations of our clients and their key stakeholders.

For our Munich office, we are seeking a strategic and commercially minded 

Associate Principal 

The Associate Principal will focus on Brand and Commercial Strategy or Pricing and Market Access (PMA) Strategy within our Life Sciences practice.  This high-impact, senior role involves shaping market access, pricing, reimbursement, or commercial development and launch strategies for life sciences clients. You will serve as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, helping clients navigate complex policy and commercialization challenges across the product lifecycle, and contribute to the growth of our practice. 

Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage medium to large-sized projects from start to finish, ensuring high quality, profitability, and client satisfaction.
• Provide intellectual leadership and high-level input to clients and delivery teams, advising on optimal commercial, price and/or access strategies, by understanding payer, HCP and patient needs globally.
• Oversee and synthesize primary and secondary research efforts, to develop robust conclusions, implications and actionable recommendations.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, support proposal development, and contribute to thought leadership activities to enhance the firm's market presence.
• Serve as a key point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships through effective communication and excellent delivery.
• Help to recruit, develop, and mentor junior team members, fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture and ensuring knowledge transfer across the practice.

Qualifications:
• Advanced degree (PhD, ABD, MA/MS, DBA, MBA) or equivalent work experience
• At least 6+ years of extensive experience consulting to life sciences companies on brand and commercial strategy issues and/or with expertise in global pricing and market access strategy development
• Proven management and business development skills within life sciences
• Demonstrated ability to synthesize and apply a variety of analytic and research techniques to develop recommendations for clients
• Recognized ability to present, facilitate, and/or provide expert guidance on key life science industry or functional issues
• Experience in contributing to professional development of junior staff
• Ability to identify new business opportunities and support conversion into project work
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English as well as German
• Familiarity with a professional service culture and ability to relate to people across all levels of the company
• Embracing a 3-day in office model in our Munich office, to engage hands on with the local team, combined with necessary travel for client engagements
