Position Overview
We seek a Staff Accountant to join the Financial Administration team in our Boston Office. The Accountant will be responsible for processing payroll, compensation and other journal entries, and account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of general accounting principles.
- Perform journal entries related to payroll/compensation and other assigned transactions.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations for all compensation, payroll and other assigned accounts.
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP accounting standards.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to management.
- Assist in audits and provide necessary documentation.
- Maintain and update accounting policies and procedures.
- Resolve discrepancies and issues related to accounting.
- Support various departments to resolve local regulation changes and special projects as they arise.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in accounting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Trustworthy with attention to maintaining confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team; able to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as Oracle and Workday
- Previous experience working for a US publicly traded company preferred.
- Experience with SOX controls preferred.

Work Location Flexibility
