Position Overview
The Intake Analyst will split their time between monitoring the shared conflicts inbox while processing NMRs (new matter requests) as they come in. Flagging and responding to all corresponding emails, questions, and following up on NMRs that have been processed. Under the supervision of the Department Lead Intake Analyst, this position supports new business activities across all business lines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform conflict checks for all new business leads using the firm’s IntApp Open;
- Perform online company research using various industry standard resources in order to determine company standing and relationships;
- Monitor results of conflict checks to ensure that all required responses are received and that the appropriate people are notified as necessary; Follow up as needed to obtain responses;
- Maintain and update Conflicts database as needed (data entry required);
- Respond to project update requests as needed;
- Assist with orientation of new staff as needed;
- Assist with the project number approval process;
- Respond to miscellaneous requests and inquiries from EAs and research staff;
- Identify areas that can be improved & develop possible solutions;
- Aid in development, testing & implementation of new systems & processes as necessary;
- Complete other projects as assigned by the Lead Intake Analyst.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, paralegal studies, or related discipline;
- Proficient in use of MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and the ability to learn new software;
- Experience in conflict checking, litigation support, and/or business environment;
- Demonstrated understanding of standard business policy, techniques, concepts, and practices and applies this knowledge in conflict checking situations;
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal, work in a team environment, meet multiple deadlines and work effectively across organizational lines;
- Ability to self-motivate and work autonomously within a small team environment;
- Needs to have experience with online research, (specific resources include Mergent, D&B, LexisNexis, Capital IQ.) As well as be able to scour the internet and unearth information that may not be reflected in the standard tools, and also needs to be able to recognize the value & validity of one “article” over another.

Work Location Flexibility
