The Team:
The Metadata team manages video metadata, API infrastructure, and Model Context Protocol (MCP). Our core stack of technologies include Python, Spark, Elastic (Elasticsearch), and Kafka for big data processing. For API development, we utilize Vue.js, OpenAPI Specification, GraphQL, Angular, and FastMCP.
Responsibilities:
As Software Engineer within the Metadata team, you will help us expand our ability to deliver reliable and scalable metadata systems. You will work on end‑to‑end implementation of features, improve test coverage, and contribute to our big‑data and API infrastructure.
You will primarily be contributing code within a cross-functional team, typically a few engineers, a designer, a data scientist, and a product manager. You will also participate in the engineering on call rotation to monitor and maintain the health of our production systems.
About You:
- Foundational knowledge of computer science.
- Experience in Python is required.
- Familiarity with SQL, Git, and Linux.
- Growth mindset, eagerness to learn, and good communication skills.
- Desire to eventually own and lead technical projects that may involve collaboration with other teams.
- Open to recent graduates or students in their final year who can commit to full-time work.
- A desire to learn new technologies and build great software and data models used by key people in the digital video entertainment industry.
- Interest in working on a distributed engineering team and an ability to be a self-starter.
- Willingness to participate in on-call duties.
- An ability to solve problems and communicate your technical insights effectively with stakeholders, and own projects end-to-end.
- Enthusiasm to be an active and contributing member of a high performance engineering team
