This position here at CTS is one of our most challenging technical roles. This position has the unique opportunity to handle high-level engineering issues, lead discussions for new facility build-outs, and be a technical leader here at CTS. These different responsibilities will require an individual to be well-versed with tracking details and seeing the "big" technical picture. While we are realistic that there will be areas of expertise that someone may not be familiar with, we do expect potential candidates to handle the majority of the responsibilities and will offer training and guidance when necessary. This role is especially for someone who has mostly been a jack of all trades. We are specially interested in an individual with cloud migration scoping.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop technical scope of work and proposals for L3 solutions at the direction of Client Management and Sales.
- Provide guidance, quality control and approval of proposals developed by Client Management and Sales
- Act as Project Engineer/Manager for New Office/School Design Project.
- Complete regular maintenance of Product Catalog and Solution Catalog (Tab Templates) at the direction of the Deputy Director of Solutions and Chief Strategy Officer.
- Act as Subject Matter Expert at CTS for specific technologies/solutions and assist other Strategic Advisors and Client Managers with clients’ requests/questions.
- Work with the Product Innovation Team to develop new client-facing solutions.
- Execute strategic consulting engagements such as Prospect Assessments and Dedicated Strategic Advisory Services (CIO as a Service).
- Develop expertise in client-specific industries and provide guidance on best practices with regards to applications and associated systems/workflows.
- Occasionally participate in discussions with Prospects as a resource to Sales Team.
QUALIFICATIONS | SKILLS
- 10+ Years of technology services experience, ideally in a strategic role such as IT Director or as a vCIO or Pre-Sales Engineer at an MSP.
- Experience implementing and/or architecting network infrastructure such as Switches, Wireless, Firewalls, and WAN Connectivity.
- Experience implementing and/or architecting server/cloud infrastructure such as VMware, Windows Servers, Azure, Microsoft 365, and Google Workspace.
- Experience developing OPEX and CAPEX budgets.
- Project Management Certifications (CAPM, PMP) are a plus!
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to occasionally manage multiple projects with competing deadlines and associated teams.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks with a clear sense of ownership and priority.
- Strong Microsoft Office or Google Apps skills, especially Excel / Sheets.
- Self-motivated, able to move and adapt to rapidly changing priorities & client needs.
HOURS AND LOCATION
The hours for this position are typically 9 AM to 5:30 PM EST, with some occasional after-hours work required based on client requests. This position is hybrid based out of Brooklyn, NY. Local travel throughout NYC (5 boroughs) and occasional regional travel is expected. It is acceptable to work from home when not at client locations, with the expectation of working in our Brooklyn office at least 1 day per week (usually Wednesdays).
