JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a Project Engineer to join our Professional Services division. This is a highly skilled Level 3 Network and/or Systems Engineer responsible for designing, deploying, and managing a wide range of technologies for our clients. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise, experience working in fast-paced, structured project environments, and a commitment to excellent service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Project Execution: While able to operate independently, you will work within a team environment led by a Project Manager. You will own the technical and logistical aspects of your assigned tasks, ensuring the Project Manager is kept informed of status and task completion to keep projects on time and within budget.
- System Design & Integration: Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot cloud services, servers, networks, and end-user systems. Analyze and test new technologies for client deployment.
- Technical Leadership: Serve as a senior technical expert, providing solutions for complex infrastructure challenges involving cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.
- Documentation: Create and maintain rigorous documentation for all new systems to ensure effective and consistent team support.
- Client Service: Act as a representative of CTS, demonstrating a firm commitment to exceptional client service and communication.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
Proven expertise in the following areas is required:
- Cloud Technologies:
- Azure: Identity, Security, Compute, Networking, Storage, Endpoint Management, Backup
- Microsoft 365: Exchange, SharePoint, Teams Administration
- Google: Workspace, Compute
- Migrations: Entra AD, SharePoint, Intune
- Networking:
- Protocols: Routing, switching, subnetting, LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, Wi-Fi 5/6
- Hardware: Experience with major vendors such as Cisco (Meraki, Catalyst), Juniper (Mist, EX), SonicWall, Ubiquiti, and HPE Aruba.
- Server & Systems:
- Hardware: HPE Proliant, Dell PowerEdge
- Virtualization: VMware vSphere, VMware vCenter, Microsoft Hyper-V
- Operating Systems: Windows Server 2008-2022, Linux (Ubuntu/CentOS)
- BC/DR: Acronis, Veeam, Zerto
- MSP Tools:
- PSA/RMM: ConnectWise Suite, Kaseya, ServiceNow, N-Able
- MDM: Intune, Addigy, Mosyle, Jamf
- End-User Technologies:
- Operating Systems: Windows 10/11, macOS, iOS, ChromeOS
- Hardware: Experience supporting Microsoft Surface, Lenovo ThinkPads, Apple MacBooks/iPads, and Chromebooks.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 6+ years of professional IT experience, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior escalation role.
- 3+ years leading implementations of cloud technologies (Azure, M365).
- 2+ years of experience in an MSP environment is strongly preferred.
- Experience working on project teams and collaborating with Project Managers.
- Exceptional critical thinking and troubleshooting skills, especially under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor's or technical degree preferred.
- Active certifications (Microsoft, Cisco, VMware, etc.) are a plus.
WORK SCHEDULE & LOCATION
- This is a full-time position based in our Brooklyn, NY office.
- Standard hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
- Occasional night/weekend work and infrequent travel may be required.
COMPENSATION
The salary range for this role is $95,000 - $120,000.
