About the Role
Title: Junior Social Media Content Manager
Reports to: Vice President of Brand
Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid)
CharterUP is looking for a creative storyteller who lives and breathes digital culture. As a Junior Social Media Content Manager, you’ll play a key role in shaping and growing CharterUP’s social presence through original, scroll-stopping content. This is a content-first role for someone who can concept, create, and adapt visual and written content across multiple platforms. You’ll work closely with our creative and marketing teams to turn brand moments into shareable media - and help us show the world who we are and where we’re going.
What You’ll Do
- Create compelling original content - videos, photos, reels, stories, memes, graphics, and copy - for social platforms including Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and X.
- Help build and maintain a content calendar aligned to brand campaigns, product launches, and seasonal trends
- Stay on top of social media trends, internet culture, and platform updates to keep content fresh, fun, and relevant
- Collaborate across departments to bring ideas to life and amplify brand storytelling
- Engage with followers, respond to comments and DMs, and support community management
- Track performance metrics to inform optimizations and contribute to weekly/monthly reporting
- Stay up to date on competitors and contribute ideas during brainstorming sessions
- Support influencer, partnership, and UGC (user-generated content) initiatives as needed
What You’ll Bring
- 1–2 years of experience in social media, content creation, or digital marketing
- A creative mindset with a portfolio (or personal account) that showcases your storytelling and content chops
- Proficiency in social platforms and native content formats (especially TikTok, Instagram Reels, LinkedIn)
- Experience with tools like Canva, Adobe Suite, CapCut, Later, Sprout, or similar scheduling and design platforms
- Comfortable working on both the strategic and scrappy sides of social media
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- A pulse on internet culture, memes, trends, and staying plugged into what’s happening online

Compensation:
$55,000 - $65,000 USD
