About the Role
Title: Director of Supply & Compliance Operations
Reports to: VP of Service Operations
Location: Remote
CharterUP is seeking a strategic, data driven, operations-minded leader to serve as our Director of Supply & Compliance Operations —a critical position overseeing the execution and performance of our Charter Supply Operations and Compliance function. Reporting directly to the VP of Service Operations, this Director will lead the day-to-day operations across CharterUP’s Charter Operations, managing a distributed team and ensuring operational excellence, team performance, and high customer satisfaction.
This Director will provide strategic and tactical leadership and play a hands-on role in shaping delivery standards, improving team capability, and driving accountability across the function. The ideal candidate thrives in complex, fast-moving environments and knows how to balance executive vendor management with team leadership and operational rigor.
What You’ll Do
- Team Leadership: Lead a team of managers and supply specialists. Ensure vendor assignments are accurate, in line with established company processes, and at expected margins.
- Performance Management: Set expectations and track performance against company KPIs specific to productivity, efficiency, and response SLAs. Hold the team accountable and drive improvements on KPI attainment.
- Process Improvement and Automation: Identify and execute strategies for improving operational efficiency and margin attainment, including exploration of new tooling and processes. Lead efforts to automate manual tasks.
- Margin Growth: Build regions specific margin strategies through cross-functional collaboration across Service Operations and Data Science with a goal of maximizing margin attainment and minimizing supply deficits.
- Supply Accuracy: Design and implement a program to monitor supply availability and accuracy ensuring reliable provider capacity at wholesale costs.
- Reduce Service Failures: Drive initiatives focused on reducing failure rates through data analysis, performance management and process improvement.
- Compliance Oversight: Provide senior leadership to the compliance function to ensure vendor adherence to company policies, contractual obligations, and operational standards thereby improving physical service delivery.
- Pricing Integrity: Strengthen pricing integrity controls to ensure vendor pricing aligns with market standards for wholesale rates.
- Data Analytics: Design, implement and lead cross-functional data initiatives to improve operational controls and oversight within a contact center operation, enhancing visibility, real-time reporting and proactive issue identification. Oversee analytical projects focused on margin growth, operational efficiency, and supply accuracy.
What You’ll Bring
- 8+ years of experience in operations, service delivery and logistics—ideally within transportation, freight, or field service environments.
- Proven success managing large teams and frontline leaders in high-volume, high-stakes environments.
- Proficient in compiling, visualizing, and analyzing data in tools such as Google sheets, Excel, Tableau. Demonstrated ability to use data to drive efficiency and inform strategy.
- Strong vendor-facing communication and escalation management skills; executive presence is a must.
- Ability to handle ambiguity, make decisions under pressure, and balance short-term problem-solving with long-term process improvements.
- Highly organized, with a data-driven approach to managing team performance and operation health.

Compensation:
$130,000 - $140,000 USD
