Providing accurate and timely derivative valuations at scale is foundational to our business.  Derivative valuations at Chatham are supported by our proprietary software valuations platform, which is developed by our Technology teams in Kennett Square and Denver.  We are seeking a Derivatives Valuations Product Manager who can collaborate with our Technology, Quant and Client-Facing teams, along with other stakeholders, to help build solutions and tools that help us accurately model and support valuations for Interest Rate, FX and Commodity derivatives.   Solutions include internal valuation models and analysis tools, automation to support operational teams, and controls to ensure accuracy and quality.  

In this role you will: 

  • Work closely with the Valuations Product Lead and Technical Leads to plan and build solutions that improve our valuations capabilities for derivatives 
  • Prepare and manage a Product Roadmap for features and capabilities to support derivative valuations within the platform 
  • Work with various senior stakeholders, including both internal and external clients, to understand problems and identify areas of need and investment 
  • Communicate the Product Roadmap to executive stakeholders 
  • Produce key artifacts including business and functional requirement documents, user stories, user acceptance test plans and test cases 
  • Attend and support all key meetings, including daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, release planning, release demos, and retrospectives 
  • Participate in the release aspect of the product including release plans, managing features and user stories, dependencies in and across releases; and managing releases with phases and milestones 
  • Assist the product team in tracking deliverables and timelines for multiple projects 
  • Assist in the preparation of communications of project statuses and new software releases to business stakeholders 
  • Communicate with stakeholders across the firm to educate and inform on software release plans and provide accurate communications of goals and progress

We seek out candidates who exhibit proven drive, intellectual curiosity, and desire to grow personally and professionally.  For this role, we are specifically seeking candidates who have the following experience and skills:  

  • Required: 
    • Bachelor’s degree in a business / accounting, mathematics, or engineering field, or equivalent experience 
    • Experience with financial risk management, operational controls, and financial modeling analysis and reporting tools 
    • 3+ years of working with Derivative valuations 
    • A general understanding of the quantitative models used to create derivative valuations for interest rate, FX and/or Commodity derivatives 
    • Strong ability to solve problems, make sound decisions, and resolve conflicts 
    • History of effective and open communication and collaboration, both verbal and written 
  • Preferred: 
    • Availability to work in Chatham’s Kennett Square or Denver offices and travel to other offices as needed.  
    • Experience with all stages in a product development lifecycle, including Agile and Lean delivery frameworks
