Director, Growth Operations
JOB SUMMARY
The Director, Growth Operations is both hands-on and strategic, leading digital marketing and marketing operations strategy for Chatham Financial to enhance marketing performance and overall revenue generation. The role may also encompass some aspects of Revenue Operations and the Director will need to forge strong partnerships and workflows with our Sales and Client Engagement organization. Reporting to the CMO, you will build and lead a team that designs and delivers process, systems, and analytics to support our Marketing team in planning & execution.
The Director applies proven expertise in Digital Strategy, Demand Generation, Marketing Operations, Marketing Automation, Analytics & Performance Optimization, Content and Brand Optimization, and Reporting. As the organization and role evolve, the Director may also oversee portions of Revenue Operations, BDRs, and/or other responsibilities as assigned.
This role calls for a balance of leadership, ability to navigate complex stakeholders/landscape, influence skills and a "roll up your sleeves" attitude. You must be able to work well under pressure, have low ego with high confidence and interpersonal awareness, willing and able to partner effectively with diverse stakeholders, deliver impact under tight deadlines and must be flexible with strong ability to be effective during ambiguity and uncertainty.

Digital Strategy & Demand Generation
- Partner closely with Marketing leaders and stakeholders to design & deliver aligned systems & processes, including but not limited to lead management, funnel alignment, campaign execution, account-based marketing, and sales enablement.
- Evaluate existing tools and identify and drive new martech initiatives—ultimately building and managing a modern marketing technology stack in support of Chatham’s overall strategy.
- Develop and execute multi-channel B2B digital campaigns to drive client engagement, acquisition, and retention.
- Implement acquisition efforts, including, but not limited to, inbound, paid media, SEO/SEM.
- Optimize website strategy and performance, ensuring strong conversion paths for lead generation.
- Manage email marketing and nurture programs to engage key stakeholders throughout the customer journey.
Marketing Operations & Automation
- Lead the optimization and management of Salesforce for marketing automation, CRM integration, lead scoring, segmentation, and lifecycle management.
- Develop scalable workflows, email nurture campaigns, and automation rules to improve engagement and conversion.
- Develop and manage lead attribution models and data hygiene, ensuring seamless integration between Salesforce and other marketing/sales systems.
- Establish marketing operations best practices, including governance, reporting, and compliance.
- Provide training and enablement to marketing and sales teams on Salesforce functionalities and best practices.
- Leverage Asana to manage workflow requests, building and ensuring SLAs are met.
- Maintain updated marketing calendar with all current programs and distribute to key stakeholders and teams.
Analytics & Performance Optimization
- Set KPIs and build dashboards to track program and campaign performance, engagement, pipeline contribution, and marketing ROI.
- Establish a cadence both within Marketing and across the organization to ensure that Chatham is measuring and monitoring outcomes and adjusting its strategy and activities accordingly; make recommendations to marketing leadership based on analytical findings.
- Conduct A/B testing and performance analysis across digital campaigns to improve conversion rates and engagement.
- Implement data-driven decision-making to optimize marketing spend and efficiency.
- Partner with Client Engagement and leadership to ensure marketing efforts align with revenue goals and business objectives.
Reporting
- Support the CMO and marketing leadership in designing & delivering executive & board reporting on a regular cadence
Content & Brand Optimization
- Develop and manage landing pages, personalized content experiences, and automation-driven engagement journeys to enhance lead nurturing
- Ensure consistent brand positioning across digital channels and campaigns
Talent Acquisition and Development
- Build and lead a world-class marketing operations team through a systematic, structured approach to sourcing and assessing candidates, a balanced approach to hiring and internal promotions, and hands-on engagement and coaching to maximize team members' success
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Familiarity with all aspects of marketing operations, including process & systems, planning, and reporting & analytics
- Strong analytical and quantitative presentation skills, including the ability to translate raw data into business insights, tell stories with data, and translate them into actionable changes
- Understanding of modern marketing technology and techniques covering a range of needs (e.g., marketing automation, lead scoring, sales enablement, distributed content marketing, CMS, advanced targeting techniques, ABX martech, Customer Data Platforms (CDP), data enrichment).
- Strong leadership, executive presence, organizational agility; Ability to rapidly gain/build trust and confidence of internal and external stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute against timelines in a nimble and fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in campaign tracking, reporting, and ROI measurement
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to balance strategy and execution, while ensuring projects are completed on time and on budget
- Possess and promote a can-do attitude with a bias for action
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- 12 - 15 years of experience in marketing operations including digital marketing and demand generation; revenue operations experience a plus
- Experience in marketing automation, lead scoring, CRM integration, and data governance
- 7+ years of people management experience
- Experience in a high-growth B2B SaaS environment preferred
- Experience in analyzing and reporting performance in collaboration with finance & business stakeholders
- Experience with paid media, SEO, and website optimization
- Proven ability to drive MQLs, SQLs, and pipeline contribution in a B2B environment

For New York based candidates, the compensation range for the position is expected to be between $156,000- $200,000 annually. Total compensation, including base pay, discretionary individual bonus and company bonus, may be higher than range listed, depending on applicant’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Benefits include health insurance, life and disability insurance, 401k, EAP, paid holidays and paid time off.
