Data Analyst I

Reporting to the Lead Data Analyst, the Data Analyst I will contribute to complex Data Products, part of the Asset Platform, that support the platform’s end users in key decision-making. The role will be part of a mix of projects involving Data Analysis activities across the internal Product Development or Product Enablement streams. When involved in Product Enablement engagements, the Data Analysis efforts would be centered on enablement and customizations activities cross-functional teams in Chatham Financial Asset Platform perform to the company product for our clients in the Commercial Real Estate industry – activities which follow the general Product Development lifecycle. The role will be based in Romania.
In this role you will:
• Focus on contributing to existing or new Data Products using mainly Power BI Desktop, as well as other tools, that enable end users to engage in self-service data analysis through experience rich data content.
• Support the team’s processes, including performing data refreshes, analyzing the root cause of Data Products defects, creating or maintaining data snapshots and engaging Product Management team members during wireframing.
• Query the Enterprise Data Warehouse using SQL or BI tools to retrieve data required for ad-hoc data analysis.

As a Data Analyst I, you will play a critical role in contributing to feature-rich and meaningful data analysis experiences that facilitate key decision-making for end-users. You will work with other internal teams to ensure a great level of quality across the deliverables you are collaborating on.
Contributors to your success:
• B.S. or M.S. in Statistics / Mathematics / Economics / Computer Science / Management Information Systems
• Great general data analysis fundamentals
• Proven knowledge of Power BI Desktop fundamentals (preferable, but similar experience with other tools, such as Tableau/Looker/Apache Superset, may be equivalent)
• Working knowledge of database querying through SQL or similar
• Represents a big plus any of the following:
• Working experience with the wider Power BI/SSAS/AAS tooling ecosystem (DAX Studio, Tabular Editor, ALM Toolkit etc.)
• Working experience with reporting data models, such as dimensional data marts or similar
• Working experience with VCS software such as Git or similar
Represents a plus prior any of the following:
• Proficiency in MS Excel, especially PowerPivot
• Working experience with Snowflake or Databricks
• Python Data Analysis (example libraries consist of, but are not limited to: pandas, matplotlib, seaborn, scikit-learn, plotly)
• R Data Analysis (example libraries consist of, but are not limited to: ggplot2 and/or general tidyverse, RMarkdown, Shiny)
