We Are CheckAlt

While the world grows more digital and connected, physical frictions in payments aren’t going anywhere. Since 2004, our expertise in paper check processing has enabled banks, credit unions, and fintechs to offer the same digital, user-friendly experiences to all their customers - regardless of their method of payment. With software and APIs, CheckAlt optimizes processing for financial institutions and businesses nationwide.

The Role

As a new business sales hunter, you are part of a dedicated sales team selling technology solutions to banks, credit unions, fintechs and corporates of all kinds.  You will cultivate new partnerships and nurture a robust sales pipeline to close business and increase revenue.

Understanding that the need for check processing still very much exists, we are looking specifically for someone who will be able to amplify CheckAlt's mission to minimize check fraud, which has become a critical issue for financial institutions. Compounding this issue is the fact there are 2 Billion online banking bill payments, valuing approximately $1Trillion, that originate online, but drop to paper check. Our solutions aim to solve for this problem, and our ideal candidate will be passionate about being part of the revolution to make sure those checks never even have the chance to enter the postal system.

What You’ll Do:

  • Generate and qualify new customer prospects and maintain sufficient pipeline to support successful attainment of sales targets.
  • Follow through all aspects of the sales cycle from the initial prospecting and solution design, all the way through to reviewing deal terms and contract execution.
  • Represent CheckAlt at client meetings, trade shows, and industry events with occasional overnight travel required.
  • Achieve defined sales targets on a monthly and quarterly basis.

Talents you’ll bring:

  • 4+ years’ experience in a quota-carrying direct sales role with a strong track record of exceeding goals.
  • Proven record of selling treasury management solutions, payments services, or fintech software to customers of all sizes. Experience in the banking sector is a strong advantage.
  • Fluency with sales enablement systems like Salesforce, HubSpot, MS Office, as well as AI powered marketing automation tools.
  • Excellent prospecting, qualifying, and negotiating skills using a consultative sales approach.
  • Tech savvy with the ability to break down complex concepts and explain in clear and simple terms to technical and non-technical customer contacts.
  • Experience effectively managing long sales cycles with ability to move prospects to close.

Characteristics you’ll have:

  • A hunter mindset and a strong desire to contribute to a rapidly growing company.
  • Hands on approach with every aspect of the sale, in collaboration with other team members.
  • Results orientation with a high sense of urgency, curiosity, and resilience.
  • Passion for payments and dynamic presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to wear multiple hats and pivot strategies and execution in a timely manner.
  • A high level of personal integrity and a value of treating others with honesty and respect.

The base salary range for this role's listed level is currently $70,000 - $80,000 with the ability to earn significant commissions through sales success. Grade level and salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, equity with other team members and alignment with location-based market data.

We value the unique expertise and experience attained through military service. Transitioning service members, active members of the Guard and Reserve, and military spouses are encouraged to apply.

CheckAlt is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace. We are committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity or Veteran status.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
