About the team/role
As a Senior Operations Specialist in Occupational Health, you will play a critical role in ensuring that candidates move smoothly through Checkr’s drug occupational health testing process. You will monitor performance across our health testing network, create systems and SOPs that improve quality and candidate experience, and serve as a key point of contact between candidates, clinics, and our supply chain team. This role demands both operational rigor and empathetic problem-solving to deliver timely, compliant, and positive experiences.
What you’ll do
- Monitor performance of occupational health tests across our vendor/clinic network, identifying trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities to improve.
- Create and document scalable systems, SOPs, and best practices to ensure consistency and efficiency in occupational health operations.
- Partner with the Supply Chain team to manage clinic/vendor relationships, support vendor SLA conversations and drive accountability.
- Proactively contact candidates and clinics to resolve escalations, delays, or compliance issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Compliance, Vendor Management) to drive end-to-end process improvements.
- Analyze and report on performance metrics; package insights into repeatable dashboards and updates for leadership.
- Act as subject-matter expert on occupational health operations and provide guidance during audits or compliance reviews.
What you bring
- 3-5 years of operations or compliance experience in occupational health, clinical operations, or a related healthcare/health testing domain.
- Strong operational rigor with proven success in developing and implementing scalable SOPs.
- Experience partnering with external vendors or clinic networks, ideally within occupational health or clinical testing.
- Strong problem-solving and investigative skills with the ability to resolve complex operational issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to effectively communicate with candidates, clinics, and internal teams.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with shifting priorities.

The hourly pay range for this role is $28.37- $35.58 in Nashville, TN.
