JOB SUMMARY:

Chelsea Avondale is looking for a for a talented and driven Director of Financial Reporting and Analysis to join our team. The Director will play a vital part in managing the Finance team’s accounting operations and ensuring accurate, timely reporting. The Director will also lead the treasury function and monitor the Company’s cash needs.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage core finance functions, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
  • Manage day-to-day accounting functions.
  • Review of journal entries and account reconciliations, ensuring that accounts are reconciled monthly.
  • Manage annual audit working papers of companies within the group and liaise with external audit team.
  • Prepare monthly group consolidation and KPI analysis of movement in accounts period over period.
  • Preparation of year-end external financial statements across multiple entities.
  • Monitor short-term liquidity and forecast cash needs on a monthly basis.
  • Collaborate with the CFO and senior leadership to align treasury functions with business strategy.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow and internal controls.
  • Liaise with all departments within the organization to support the finance function.
  • Collaborate with other Finance team members to support overall department goals and objectives.
  • Assist with special financial projects including complex financial analysis.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • University degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
  • You have a minimum of five years’ experience in financial reporting.
  • You have an accounting designation.
  • You have P&C insurance experience.
  • You have IFRS 17 experience.
  • Familiarity with NetSuite is an asset.
  • You have an advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • You have excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • You have strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • You have exceptional attention to detail.
  • You have the ability to multi-task and work to deadlines.
  • You have the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
