CMA’s headquarters are in Fort Lauderdale with regional offices in Miami, West Palm Beach, Orlando, and Jacksonville. The firm also has satellite and/or project offices in Atlanta, Gainesville, Jupiter, Knoxville, Port St. Lucie, Raleigh, Sarasota, Tallahassee, and Tampa. CMA is hiring a skilled and motivated System Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of hands-on experience managing Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and enterprise networking infrastructure. The System Administrator will ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the IT infrastructure, supporting both office and field-based users across multiple disciplines.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain Windows Server systems (2016/2019/2022) and related infrastructure (AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO).
- User provisioning and access control through Active Directory, SSO, MFA and Azure AD/Entra ID.
- Maintain and secure file servers, email systems, FortiGate VPN/firewall, and endpoint security.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and apply patches/updates.
- Administer virtualization platforms (e.g., Azure, Hyper-V).
- Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery systems.
- Support IT-related needs across offices, including hardware, software, and network troubleshooting.
- Participate in the planning and execution of infrastructure projects (e.g., server upgrades, cloud integrations).
- Document procedures and maintain configuration records.
- Provide 2nd/3rd level support for escalated help desk tickets.
- Manage and maintain software licenses and subscriptions.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Windows system administration.
- Proficient in Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, PowerShell scripting.
- Experience with FortiGate firewalls and FortiClient EMS is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, file systems, and TCP/IP networking.
- Familiarity with virtualization (Hyper-V) and cloud services (Microsoft 365/Azure).
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Relevant certifications: Microsoft, CompTIA Security+, Fortinet NSE, or similar.
- Background in civil engineering or AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) industry IT support.
- Experience supporting multi-site architecture and field operations.
- Experience using or managing the use of any of the following:
- MS SQL Server, SSRS, and Power BI
- CAD/GIS software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, ArcGIS)
- PeerGFS
- Paessler PRTG
- ConnectWise ScreenConnect and ConnectWise RMM
- KnowBe4 Security awareness training, Prevent, Defend
- Veeam
- Adobe Creative Suite
