The Role
We are seeking an experienced General Counsel / Head of Legal to join our leadership team. In this pivotal role, you will be the legal architect behind our expansion, helping us navigate complex international corporate law, regulatory frameworks, and growth initiatives. You’ll work closely with our founders and CFO to establish the legal foundation for a generational European company.
Your Focus
- Strategic Legal Partnership: Act as a sparring partner to founders and senior leadership, providing hands-on, strategic legal guidance on key initiatives.
- International Corporate Structure: Own and optimize the company’s international corporate structure to ensure compliance and efficiency as we scale across Europe.
- Transactions & Growth Support: Lead legal workstreams in corporate transactions and fundraising rounds, including due diligence and transaction documentation.
- Commercial & Contract Ownership: Drive negotiations with external parties and improve existing contract and commercial frameworks.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and manage relationships with external counsel and service providers.
About You
- German Second State Exam (Zweites Staatsexamen), ideally with admission to the German bar and Syndikusrechtsanwalt qualification.
- 3+ years of experience in international corporate law, preferably with exposure to fast-paced environments and complex holding structures.
- Strong knowledge of finance and corporate transactions (M&A experience a plus).
- Fluent in German and English, with excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Hands-on operator who thrives in fast-moving, ambiguous environments and can build frameworks from scratch.
