The Compliance Associate is a key member of our Operations teams at Checkr, which is dedicated to enhancing the precision and efficiency of our background screening processes. This role demands a candidate who excels in communication and possesses excellent interpersonal skills, can maintain composure under pressure, and has meticulous attention to detail. Your responsibility will include conducting in-depth research and problem-solving. Join our diligent and determined team as we set new benchmarks for quality in the background screening industry.
What you'll do:
- Manage a high volume of tasks with a focus on ensuring the accuracy and quality of background reports through diligent processing and attention to detail, possibly involving communication with court clerks and law enforcement agencies
- Communicate effectively with compliance teammates and leaders to ensure that issues are flagged to facilitate resolution, maintain quality, and drive key performance indicators.
- Complete all required training and collaborate with compliance leadership to maintain knowledge and quality on all QA workflows
- Meet productivity and quality targets established by leadership to achieve team and business needs
- Adhere to the policies & procedures set forth within the Checkr US/CL and compliance handbooks for ticket-based teams
- Understand and exemplify the Checkr Core Values in daily work
What you will bring:
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in customer success or operations desired, with a background in risk, fraud, compliance or trust & safety is a plus.
- Research-driven with excellent investigative and critical thinking. Familiarity with judicial processes and experience in criminal case information and municipal ordinances is a plus.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a commitment to thorough documentation of details and actions.
- Highly attentive to detail and exemplarily organized with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and adhere to strict deadlines.
- Effective interpersonal skills with a forte in both giving and receiving constructive feedback, and a proactive approach to seeking feedback.
- Process and solution-oriented. Comfortable making decisions and leveraging resources to ensure confidence in doing so
- Comfortable working within time restrictions and deadlines
- Proficiency in computer applications (both offline and internet-based) is required, GSuite, Public Access Terminals, Salesforce, Maestro, and Zendesk experience preferred
- An A-player mindset with a strong bias for action: you raise the bar, move with urgency, stay resilient through ambiguity, and take ownership to deliver meaningful outcomes.

We use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop ranges for our roles and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range. If this role is remote, we have listed the top to the bottom of the possible range, but we will specify the target range for an exact location when you are selected for a recruiting discussion. On-target Earnings OR Base Salary range (Santiago, Chile)
$14.284.000 - $16.804.460 CLP
