You’ll be the first to greet guests, share your favorite cookie recommendations, and help create a memorable, customer-focused experience.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead with a customer-obsessed mindset by creating warm, memorable interactions and ensuring every guest feels valued from the moment they walk in.
  • Bake happiness daily by preparing, baking, and serving our signature cookies to Chip City’s high standards of quality and freshness.
  • Craft and serve hot and cold beverages — from coffee to specialty drinks — ensuring every order is customized for each guest.
  • Be a true cookie expert by sharing your knowledge of flavors, ingredients, and pairings with energy, pride, and enthusiasm.
  • Spread the sweetness by promoting and upselling cookie boxes, beverages, merchandise, and other Chip City favorites.
  • Process orders and payments quickly and accurately through the POS system — all while multitasking and maintaining a welcoming attitude.
  • Let guests know about our loyalty program, Chip City app, and email promos to keep the cookie love going.
  • Keep service areas stocked, organized, and ready for action, even during the busiest rushes.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across the counter, kitchen, and storefront.
  • Clean and sanitize equipment, utensils, and workspaces to meet all health and safety standards.
  • Stock and organize supplies and retail products, keeping inventory accurate and fresh.
  • Carefully prepare pickup, delivery, and catering orders to ensure every cookie leaves the shop perfect.
  • Monitor equipment like ovens and freezers, and promptly report any issues.
  • Communicate openly with managers and teammates to keep the store running smoothly.
  • Jump in wherever needed — multitasking and teamwork make the dream (and the cookie) work!

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Brings a passion for customer service and creating memorable guest experiences, grounded in professionalism and integrity
  • Strong communication skills — friendly, clear, and confident
  • Adheres to all food safety and sanitation procedures with care and consistency
  • Works quickly, efficiently, and kindly in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Holds a Food Protection Certification (or is willing to obtain one where required)
  • Successfully completes all training programs to uphold Chip City standards

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to stand for extended periods and operate a cash register or related equipment
  • Capable of moving throughout the bakery, stockroom, and office areas, and lifting up to 30 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Comfortable performing repetitive motions for extended periods
  • Able to work in a warm, fast-paced environment around commercial ovens and baking equipment
  • Flexible availability, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Pay Range: $16.50 - $17.50 per hour
