Summary of Role:

The Director of Marketing leads Chip City’s brand strategy, creative direction, and market expansion efforts. This role oversees all marketing initiatives — from campaigns to content — ensuring Chip City continues to grow its loyal fanbase, strengthen brand visibility, and drive revenue across retail, digital, delivery, and catering channels. The ideal candidate is strategic, creative, data-driven, and passionate about building unforgettable consumer experiences.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute Chip City’s annual marketing strategy across digital, retail, product launches, and local store marketing.
  • Deliver campaigns while maximizing ROI across paid and organic channels.
  • Lead brand positioning, storytelling, and creative development to maintain a consistent, high-energy brand identity.
  • Oversee all content creation including social media, photography, video, influencer partnerships, and community engagement.
  • Manage and grow Chip City’s social media presence with a focus on engagement, reach, and conversion.
  • Plan and execute integrated campaigns promoting new flavors, limited-time offerings, seasonal promotions, and store openings.
  • Manage email, SMS, and loyalty marketing to increase customer retention and repeat purchases.
  • Support new store openings with hyperlocal marketing, PR coordination, and launch campaigns.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Product, and Leadership to align marketing with business goals.
  • Champion innovation: test new channels, formats, experiential activations, user-generated content, immersive brand experiences that resonate with our customer and push the QSR space. 
  • Monitor market trends, consumer insights, and competitive activity to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Manage marketing budgets, vendor relationships, agencies, and creative partners.
  • Drive brand partnerships, sponsorships, and promotional collaborations to expand visibility.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 7+ years of marketing experience, preferably in food & beverage, retail, CPG, or hospitality.
  • Proven success leading cross-channel marketing strategies and growing brand presence.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to balance creativity with data-driven decision-making.
  • Experience in brand management, campaign development, and content strategy.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and highly collaborative environment.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in social media management tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Later, Hootsuite).
  • Experience with email and SMS platforms (Klaviyo, Attentive, Mailchimp).
  • Familiarity with analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Meta Insights, TikTok Analytics).
  • Competence with creative tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and video editing platforms.
  • Understanding of paid media management (Meta Ads, Google Ads, TikTok Ads) is a strong plus.

KPIs / Outcomes:

  • Marketing Efficiency: Deliver campaigns within budget while maximizing ROI across paid and organic channels.
  • Brand Growth: Increase social media following, engagement, impressions, and share of voice across key channels.
  • Campaign Performance: Achieve campaign-specific targets related to sales lift, foot traffic, and engagement.
  • Customer Retention: Drive improvements in loyalty program participation, email/SMS click-through, and repeat purchase rates.
  • Revenue Impact: Contribute to measurable growth in retail, digital ordering, catering, and seasonal product performance.

Salary Range:

$110,000 - 120,000
