What You Will Do

As the Learner, Trade Promotions, you will support the Trade Strategy & Analytics team in managing and optimizing Chomps’ trade promotion programs. You’ll gain hands-on experience working cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, and Accounting to understand how promotions influence sales, profitability, and brand performance. You’ll learn the full lifecycle of a trade promotion — from planning and execution through post-event analysis — and contribute to improving the systems and processes that keep our Trade Promotions running smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with promotion setup, tracking, and validation across key customers and distributors within Chomps’ Trade Promotion Management (TPM) system.
  • Support the trade accrual and reconciliation process, learning how deductions, chargebacks, and claims are tracked and managed.
  • Help maintain accurate trade data across internal systems and reports.
  • Participate in post-promotion performance reviews to identify insights and improvement opportunities.
  • Assist with cross-functional collaboration between Trade, Finance, and Sales to ensure promo accuracy and alignment.
  • Support data integrity initiatives and learn how to communicate findings through summaries and reports.
  • Undertake ad hoc projects related to Trade Promotions or revenue growth management as needed. 

What Will Make You Stand Out

  • Strong interest in consumer-packaged goods (CPG), business operations, or trade promotion management.
  • Comfort working in Excel or Google Sheets, with an eagerness to build analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
  • Proactive mindset and ability to communicate effectively across teams.
  • Passion for learning, problem-solving, and improving business processes.
  • Prior exposure to sales, finance, or data analytics coursework is a plus — but not required.

Reports to: Manager, Trade Strategy & Analytics

Location: Remote

Type: Part Time, non-exempt

 

Pay Range Opportunity:

  • The pay range for this role is $20 - $25 per hour
  • Weekly hours required: 20 - 28 hours 
  • This is a part-time 6 month temporary, non-exempt position with potential opportunity for extension and/or to turn into full-time opportunity based on business needs

Compensation Philosophy & Total Comp:

  • Our salary ranges are based on verified market data and our philosophy of paying competitively for our size and industry
  • Individual pay rate decisions are based on several factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company
