Analyst, Investment Strategy Group

Choreo is seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and intellectually curious individual to join our Investment Strategy Group as an Analyst. Reporting to the Chief Investment Officer, this role will support the development and communication of the firm’s investment outlook, portfolio strategy, asset allocation guidance, and macroeconomic insights. The Analyst will work closely with senior investment professionals and advisors and contribute to both client-facing and internal investment initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities:
Research & Analysis:
- Research macroeconomic data, financial markets, and asset class performance to support investment strategy decisions.
- Monitor market trends, policy developments, and geopolitical events to assess potential investment impacts.
- Manage due diligence recordkeeping for the firm’s approved list funds and managers.
Portfolio Strategy & Asset Allocation:
- Support the development and maintenance of strategic asset allocation models for client portfolios.
- Prepare investment proposals for clients and prospects.
Reporting & Communication:
- Prepare market commentaries, investment strategy notes, and research presentations for internal and external audiences.
- Maintain and update charts.
- Participate in client calls as an investment specialist.
- Manage the Investment Strategy Group’s internal shared email box, triaging questions from advisors.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field; progress towards a CFA designation is preferred
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in investment research, strategy, asset management, or financial services
- Strong understanding of capital markets, asset classes, and macroeconomic concepts
- Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required; exposure to YCharts is a nice to have
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex topics for a broad audience
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
