About the Role

We’re seeking a Chief Operating Officer to serve as the glue between vision and execution. As COO, you will be the integrator who brings clarity, structure, and discipline to a fast-moving organization. You’ll work closely with the CEO and leadership team to translate strategy into action, align cross-functional teams, and ensure seamless delivery across projects, programs, and operations.

This role is for someone who thrives on building and optimizing systems, creating clarity out of complexity, and making sure that what needs to get done—gets done.

What You’ll Do

  • Translate the company’s strategic vision into clear operational plans, milestones, and success metrics.
  • Establish and lead the company’s operating rhythm, including planning cycles, OKRs, and performance reporting.
  • Partner closely with executive leadership to set performance targets, monitor key business drivers, and adjust course as needed to meet evolving market demands and customer needs.
  • Oversee cross-functional teams ensuring strategic alignment, operational efficiency, employee productivity and a consistent, high-quality experience for partners and users.
  • Lead the successful execution of client and internal programs, ensuring delivery is timely, on-budget, and aligned with quality expectations.
  • Lead with full P&L ownership, developing and executing data-driven strategies that drive sustainable growth, improve margins, and scale operations. Align cross-functional execution with company goals to ensure efficiency, impact, and long-term value.
  • Develop and institutionalize scalable program and project management methodologies.
  • Monitor risks, dependencies, and resourcing needs across the project portfolio.
  • Build and refine internal systems, workflows, and processes to enable scale and efficiency.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration and ensure consistent execution across product, engineering, customer success, and other teams. Ensure consistent alignment of goals and initiatives across departments.
  • Build internal systems, workflows, and dashboards to support operational scale.
  • Create feedback loops and continuous improvement cycles across departments.
  • Ensure we’re leveraging the right tools and practices to stay lean, agile, and effective.
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and mission-aligned culture.

What You''ll Bring

  • Proven experience in tech startups, with a strong track record of leading through high-growth and scaling phases. Demonstrated ability to operationalize strategy, build infrastructure, and drive cross-functional alignment in fast-paced, evolving environments.
  • Results-oriented leader and operator with 15+ years of experience and P&L accountability. Proven record of driving profitable growth with a test-and-learn mindset, using analytics to improve operational efficiencies, identifying and pursuing white space opportunities, and building and developing teams.
  • Creative and analytical problem-solver, comfortable working in diverse environments.
  • Have deep experience with delivery, program management, and cross-functional operations.
  • Strong systems thinking, with the ability to design and optimize processes that support strategic and tactical goals.
  • Exceptional communication, planning, and stakeholder management skills.
    Experience operating at both strategic and tactical levels—comfortable in the boardroom and in the details.
  • Experience implementing with frameworks such as KPIs, OKRs, or similar operational models.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in health-tech, digital health, or research organizations.
  • Understanding of healthcare data privacy and regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA, HITRUST).
  • Background in consulting, SaaS, especially Account Management or enterprise technology implementation is advantageous.

Compensation Disclosure

The anticipated base salary for this position is $250,000 to $300,000, based on the Los Angeles market. The base salary offered may vary depending on several factors, including the applicant's qualifications, relevant experience, specific skills, level of education, certifications, and the geographic location where the role will be performed.Please note that the listed compensation details apply to the base salary only and do not include additional elements of the total compensation package, such as performance bonuses, stock options, or benefits. The final compensation package will be determined by evaluating the candidate’s qualifications in relation to market standards and internal pay equity.
