Facilities Specialist (Temporary)

JOB SUMMARY: 

The Facilities Specialist at the Port St. Lucie location assists in the day-to-day care and maintenance of all buildings and grounds. Candidates must be available to work a flexible schedule, some weekends, and holidays. This is a full-time, temporary position and ends in April, 2026.

JOB DUTIES: 

  • Oversee and actively participate in setup and teardown for services, meetings, classrooms, conferences, and special events on campus.
  • Maintain buildings and grounds, including custodial support, minor repairs, and general maintenance.
  • Monitor building conditions regularly and proactively address issues.
  • Respond to work orders, prioritise tasks, and ensure timely completion.
  • Safely operate vehicles, power tools, and equipment as needed.
  • Assist with emergency responses and alarm calls as needed.
  • Perform other tasks and projects assigned by campus leadership or Central Facilities to ensure smooth campus operations.

EDUCATION: 

  • High School Diploma 
  • Associate's Degree or Higher preferred, but not required 

CERTIFICATION OR LICENSES: 

  • Florida Driver's License

JOB SPECS: 

Classification: Full-time (40 hours/ week), hourly (non - exempt), including weekends and some week nights.
Reporting to: Facilities Manager
