Kids Ministry Volunteer Coordinator
Palm Beach Gardens, Florida
The Christ Fellowship Kids Ministry Volunteer Coordinator supports the Kids Ministry by ensuring the effective implementation of the volunteer onboarding and placement process and, at times, assisting the Kids Ministry Director with various administrative responsibilities.
JOB DUTIES:
- Drive the volunteer onboarding process in accordance with central objectives, processes, and philosophy, including our SERVE (volunteer onboarding) strategy.
- Coordinate and help implement volunteer recruiting, training, and appreciation strategies and initiatives.
- Supporting Area Coordinators as they build their volunteer teams.
- Supporting the supervision of midweek programming during the week as directed.
- Create a memorable “full of fun” impression by exceeding guests’ expectations in the Family Check-In experience.
- Drive the process that ensures we care for new families and help them find community at the campus.
- Work with the campus’s Connections (“Next Steps”) team to ensure cohesion between the Campus Welcome Team volunteers and the Kids Welcome Team volunteers.
- Contributing to the development and implementation of Central Team initiatives, as directed by and in cooperation with Central Kids Ministry Directors and the team.
- Attending weekly staff meetings and department meetings as directed.
- Ensuring the overall weekend experience for kids is done with excellence in a safe, fun, meaningful, and engaging environment.
EDUCATION:
- College graduate or degree in progress.
- Experienced with 1 year in a kids’ ministry environment, either as staff or volunteer.
JOB SPECS:
Classification: Full-time, Salary (Exempt) position, including weekends and some nights.
Reporting to: Kids Ministry Director
