CI Azumano is seeking a Part-Time Travel Advisor in Vancouver, Washington. This position will service CI Azumano's vacation clients by planning, arranging, securing vacation reservations with airlines, car rentals, hotels, preferred tours and cruise lines.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of agency experience
  • Excellent sales skills
  • Experience with GDS, CRMs and Microsoft applications

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Strict adherence to the sales process by securing reservations with preferred air, tour and cruise providers with the instructed preferred software. GDS system (Apollo), CRM system (ClientBase) and various approved online booking engines. Meets or exceeds sales productivity level as established by branch manager once appropriate training has been completed.
  • All client data and travel purchases are recorded and tracked in ClientBase. All client monies received are invoiced and recorded in the CI Azumano accounting system in a timely manner, Trams, via ClientBase.
  • Vacation Travel Advisors are to act proactively on marketing new travel offers to existing clientele. All CI Azumano clients are to have a complete profile in CI Azumano's CRM system, ClientBase. Travel Advisors are required to update changes to client profiles to ensure all information is accurate.
  • Serves as a resource for travelers both during the sales process, prior to travel and post-travel.

Required Competencies (Job Knowledge)

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Technical competencies required for this position are as follows post training:
    •     Intermediate to high level of understanding of the ClientBase CRM software
    •     Intermediate to high level of understanding of internet browser search engines, internet provider booking engines.    
    •     Intermediate to high level of understanding of Microsoft products such as Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams 
  • Sales Skills - Proactively offers travel options based on client's travel requests; Up selling clients, when appropriate, to maximize client satisfaction on their travel experience; Sells additional products to compliment the vacation experience thus maximizing revenue and commission earned. Utilize company's CRM software, ClientBase to market future travel products to existing and prospective clientele.
  • Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving situations; Uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics.
  • Customer Service - Manages difficult or emotional customer situations; Responds promptly to customer needs; Solicits customer feedback to improve service; Responds to requests for service and assistance; Meets commitments.
  • Interpersonal Skills - Maintains confidentiality; Keeps emotions under control.

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Language and Writing Skills Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to interpret and comprehend tour and cruise group contracts. Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Written Communication - Writes clearly and informatively both in traditional letter writing and electronic communications; Edits work for spelling and grammar; Varies writing style to meet needs; Presents numerical data effectively; Able to read and interpret written information.
  • Mathematical Skills Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and commissions. Perform simple math (addition, subtraction, multiply and divide).

The ideal candidate will have a proven history of successfully planning cruise and tour vacations, while providing outstanding customer service and achieving sales excellence.     

 

Salary at Seneca is based on a variety of factors including but not limited to location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The range of this position in other geographic locations may differ.  The projected compensation range for this position is below. The estimate displayed represents the typical range for this position and is just one component of our total compensation package for employees. 

The projected hourly rate for this position is between:

$21 - $25 USD
