Position Overview:

The Sr. Technical Project Manager will provide technical project management for a wide-ranging portfolio of projects. The preferred candidate thrives by creating quality + rigor in ambiguous environments and projects or programs while leveraging their expertise in technical domains of: Cloud Infrastructure & knowledge of Database operations. They demonstrate skilled communication by breaking down technical nuances throughout their work by providing inputs to project and portfolio oversight, anticipating risk + issues and actively resolving them, connecting the right resources to needs, and removing impediments to doing great work. The do all of this as part of day-to-day project management, and execution of projects across IT Operations disciplines.

  • Assist in guiding cross-functional teams to develop, plan and execute assigned projects
  • Develop transparent and succinct communications that gain agreement and surface conflict that drive project / program delivery
  • Monitoring and maintaining project schedules; ensuring that project objectives are met, and project is on schedule
  • Collaborate with team members to create and maintain detailed, integrated project plans; use plans to drive on-time delivery for multiple matrixed, complex programs
  • Actively and consistently communicating with project stakeholders with status reports, project schedule updates, and project risks
  • Identify resource / equipment / skill set bottlenecks in the plan and developing solutions to the bottlenecks · Lead problem resolution and/or risk mitigation
  • Conduct project closure activities to formalize and communicate project acceptance, documentation, and ongoing activities. This includes a post-implementation review to identify areas of future improvement
  • Create and manage the project planning Clarizen Project Management tool & Jira tool

Summary:

  1. Technical Expertise in Cloud Infrastructure & Database Operations:
    1. Deep knowledge of IT cloud methodologies and database operations is crucial for managing technical projects effectively.
  2. Project Management Skills:
    1. Proven experience in managing complex technical projects, including certifications like PMP (Project Management Professional) and Scrum Master.
  3. Scrum Experience:
    1. Hands-on experience with Scrum methodologies, including leading Scrum teams and facilitating Scrum ceremonies.
  4. Communication Skills:
    1. Ability to break down technical nuances, develop transparent communications, and consistently update stakeholders with status reports and project risks.
  5. Problem-Solving and Risk Mitigation:
    1. Skilled in identifying bottlenecks, anticipating risks, and actively resolving issues to ensure smooth project execution.
