POSITION SUMMARY

CIQ is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Program Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the successful execution of programs, projects, and initiatives related to our product development and engineering, including coordinating the successful delivery and implementation of products and services sold by CIQ to our customers. You will also help define internal tools and operations to drive the efficiency of the organization. You will collaborate closely with customers and cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, sales, customer success, and marketing, to ensure the seamless integration of product development and drive mutual success.

The ideal candidate is a proactive and results-oriented professional with a strong technical background, exceptional project management skills, and a passion for shipping amazing products. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Managing technical programs and customer deliverables within the engineering and product development organization, ensuring their successful execution from inception to completion.

  • Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and marketing, and defining program and project goals, requirements, and deliverables.

  • Developing and maintaining comprehensive program and project plans for engineering and product deliverables, including milestones, timelines, and dependencies.

  • Tracking and communicating program and project progress, risks, and mitigation strategies to stakeholders at all levels, including senior management and partner organizations.

  • Identifying and resolving program roadblocks, risks, and issues in a timely manner, working closely with stakeholders to develop effective solutions.

  • Collaborating with internal teams to define and implement processes, tools, and best practices to streamline program management and organizational efficiency and cohesion.

  • Collaborating with internal teams to deliver defined products to drive automation, operational efficiencies, and communication.

 

NEEDED TO SUCCEED

Successful candidates will have:

  • A strong understanding of performance computing infrastructure, software, and cloud-based technologies.

  • Excellent program and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.

  • Demonstrated ability to drive results, manage risks, and adapt to changing priorities and requirements.

  • Knowledge of partner ecosystems and familiarity with partner development processes.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills and the ability to work independently, think strategically and drive innovative solutions in a startup environment.

  • Knowledge of information technology operating environments, an understanding of customer requirements, and developing project plans to an appropriate level of detail for implementation, especially including on-prem and hyperscale cloud computing environments (e.g., AWS, GCP, Oracle.)

  • Proactive and self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

  • A friendly, collaborative, humble, honest, and always striving to be better attitude.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in technical program management and project management.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field. In lieu of this requirement, at least seven years of technology industry experience in a program or project management, or related role will be considered.

  • Experience engaging with internal and customer engineers on a technical level for planning and delivery.

  • A current PMP certification is strongly encouraged, but candidates with appropriate skills and time in related positions will be considered.
