Executive Assistant
Hi — I’m Andrew, co-founder of a fast-growing tech company called Circle. I’m looking for an Executive Assistant to work with me directly.
This isn’t a typical EA role. It’s a unique opportunity to be my right hand — someone I trust to help me stay focused, move faster, and operate more effectively across both business and personal priorities.
You’ll get a front-row seat to the inner workings of a high-growth startup. Your work will have a direct, meaningful impact — and you’ll play a key role in helping me show up at my best. My goal is to invest in your growth, help you level up, and create an environment where you can lern as much as you contribute.
If you’re organized, proactive, and excited about tech and startups, this could be a great fit.
What you'll be doing
Your work will span a mix of business and personal responsibilities. Some days, you’ll help coordinate priorities across my calendar, research a new idea I’m exploring, or prepare materials for an upcoming leadership meeting. Other days, you might be reviewing my writing, managing a personal errand, or helping plan an event. Often, it’ll be a mix of both.
Here’s a look at what you’ll be responsible for:
- Drafting and organizing email responses so I can move faster and respond more thoughtfully
- Managing and prioritizing inbound requests from the team or external partners
- Owning my calendar — scheduling proactively, creating space for deep work, and avoiding conflicts
- Preparing agendas, briefing notes, and follow-ups for key meetings
- Researching and summarizing information for one-off projects or decisions
- Helping brainstorm concepts and occasionally ghostwrite social posts or public writing
- Coordinating travel, both professional and occasionally personal
- Organizing events — including events with customers, partners, and personal gatherings
- Coordinating with vendors like accountants, travel planners, or household services
- Creating lightweight systems to track tasks, goals, and recurring workflows
- Proactively improving how I work — and speaking up when you spot a better way
About you
You’re more than just organized — you think ahead, take initiative, and love figuring things out. You view this as an opportunity to accelerate your career and learn.
You’re a great fit if:
- You’re detail-oriented, reliable, and calm under pressure
- You write clearly and with a point of view — communication is your superpower
- You’re tech-savvy and naturally explore tools (especially AI!) to work smarter
- You handle ambiguity well — you don’t just wait for tasks, you shape the plan
- You’re proactive, positive, and someone people love working with
- You thrive with autonomy, but know trust is earned through ownership and follow-through
- You’ve supported a busy executive, founder, or high-output team member before (nice to have, but not required.)
Logistics
- Location: Fully remote. North American timezones (ET, CT, MT, PT)
- Schedule: Full-time (around 40 hours/week).
- Employment type: Full time or independent contractor.
- Offsites: Twice a year, the Circle team gets together in beautiful locations around the world. You’ll join me to help make the most of those trips and participate as part of the team.
Final Note
This is a long-term role for someone who wants to grow in a fast-paced, high-trust environment. I’m less concerned with what your resume looks like and more interested in how you think, communicate, and get things done. Maybe you’ve supported a founder before. Maybe you ran ops at a startup, built your own thing, or have a background in writing, social media, or even law. You might be trying to break into tech — or back into it. If you’re sharp, organized, and energized by this kind of work, I’d love to hear from you.
$50,000 - $60,000 USD per year
