Who You Are:

As the Vice President, Sales at Citian, you will be a pivotal leader driving the strategic vision and execution of our public sector sales initiatives. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement a strategic, Go-to-Market sales plan that will not only achieve revenue targets but also align with the company's overall objectives. This requires extensive experience in start-up team-building, development of a high performing outbound sales process, and a deep understanding of government sales cycles.

Leading and managing a high-performing sales team will be a key aspect of your role. This includes strategic recruitment, training, and continuous coaching of sales team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed. You will be responsible for creating a motivated and inspiring work environment that encourages collaboration and fosters individual growth.

Building and nurturing strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders is crucial for driving business growth and securing new opportunities. Your exceptional communication and negotiation skills will be essential in effectively presenting and selling the company's offerings.

Proven Success:

You will bring a track record of proven success in driving significant revenue growth and achieving ambitious sales targets. Your ability to consistently exceed expectations and deliver outstanding results will be a cornerstone of your role. Demonstrating measurable achievements in previous positions, you will showcase your ability to lead teams to victory and contribute substantially to the company's bottom line. Experience in scaling a sales team of 25+ members is essential, proving your capacity to manage and grow a large, dynamic sales force.

Qualifications:

  • Over 15+ years of experience in Sales with 5+ years in leadership roles
  • Government Sales experience required, public sector experience preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge in sales enablement tools and CRM best practices
  • Experience in scaling sales teams within a startup environment
  • Demonstrated expertise and understanding of advanced sales techniques and process
  • Ability to conduct research, analyze data, and make data-informed decisions
  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding sales targets
  • Driven self-starter with strong people management skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to travel to various local and national events - Travel will be regional and national

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Venture-backed, start-up experience
