Construction Lead Inspector/ EIT

Civil Science is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Construction Lead Inspector/ EIT for our transportation construction projects based out of either Dickinson or Williston, North Dakota. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in civil/construction engineering, hold an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification, and demonstrate exceptional leadership skills and technical expertise. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to manage a number of exciting projects and contribute to the growth and success of our firm.

Responsibilities of a Construction Lead Inspector/ EIT:

  • Lead and manage civil construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to ensure project requirements are met and all necessary permits are obtained.
  • Oversee project scheduling, resource allocation, and subcontractor management to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Conduct site inspections, quality control, and quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with design specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and review technical documents, reports, and construction drawings.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff members.
  • Foster a culture of safety and promote best practices in construction site management.

Requirements for a Construction Lead Inspector/ EIT: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification required.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in civil engineering, with a focus on construction management and/or inspection.
  • Strong knowledge of construction practices, materials, and techniques
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
