Senior Bridge Engineer

Civil Science is seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer - Division Manager to oversee and grow our dynamic team of structural engineers. You’ll play a pivotal role in designing and delivering transportation-related structures, including bridges, tunnels, highways, and more, across Utah, Idaho, and North Dakota.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead a talented team of engineers, EITs, and technicians to plan, design, construct, and inspect critical infrastructure projects.
  • Spearhead strategy, business development, and team growth to expand our discipline and business.
  • Oversee and perform QA/QC reviews to ensure the highest standards of quality.
  • Cultivate and maintain partnerships with state DOTs and local agencies to deliver exceptional solutions.
  • Provide technical expertise on structural elements, including bridges, retaining walls, box culverts, and drainage structures.

Types of Structural Work:

  • Bridges (precast/prestressed concrete, cast-in-place concrete, and steel)
  • Retaining Walls (MSE, cast-in-place concrete, soil nail walls)
  • Box Culverts
  • Miscellaneous Drainage Structures

What We’re Looking For:

  • A Professional Engineer (PE) with a strong structural background, capable of obtaining licensing in Utah, Idaho, and North Dakota within six months.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related field).
  • At least 10+ years of experience in structural engineering, with a proven track record of leadership and team management.
  • Expertise in AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications and familiarity with seismic bridge design standards.
  • Experience working with UDOT, ITD, NDDOT, or similar municipal agencies.
