Business Development / CRM Lead

Civil Science is seeking a Business Development / CRM Lead to join our Salt Lake City, UT office. In this role, you'll support teams with business development initiatives, assist with client relationship management processes, ensure consistency in client engagement and data management, and contribute to high-impact proposal efforts.

In this dynamic role, you’ll work with multiple teams to streamline proposal development, improve CRM processes, and help craft winning strategies that support both client acquisition and long-term relationship success.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with internal teams to develop, implement, and manage client engagement and business development strategies.
  • Manage CRM tools and ensure data accuracy and cleanliness for client and pursuit tracking.
  • Lead and coordinate the proposal development process from start to submittal, ensuring compliance with client requests and alignment to the firm’s capabilities.
  • Monitor public RFP platforms and identify opportunities for pursuit.
  • Collaborate on market research, competitive analysis, and client insights to inform strategy.
  • Support client interview preparation and proposal content development.
  • Assist with organizing firm participation in conferences, events, and sponsorships to increase visibility.
  • Support teams in the collection of project and activity-related content for future use.
  • Provide business development insights and reports as requested.
  • Ensure alignment of all CRM and business development activities with firm-wide strategic goals.

What We’re Looking For

  • Exceptional written & oral communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks to meet tight deadlines.
  • A strategic thinker who can translate data into actionable insights.
  • Experience with CRM systems and business development tools. (VantagePoint/Deltek experience a plus).
  • Experience in client relationship strategy and market research preferred. (Proposal development experience a plus.)
  • Familiarity with public bid platforms like BidSync or Bonfire is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
