Account Manager

Please note, that while this position is remote, applicant must reside in the NYC, Philadelphia, or Washington, DC metro areas. 
The selected candidate will be working remotely day to day, but should be available to meet with clients as appropriate.

Join Civis Analytics as an Account Manager and become a key player in growing our book of business. We're looking for someone who is passionate, proactive, and ready to build, maintain, and grow effective long-term relationships with our clients. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to work with Civis’ clients to understand their business initiatives and challenges, enabling clients to derive value through the use of Civis’ customer analytics and data science software and solutions.

What You’ll Do

  • Be the Go-To Client Partner: Manage client accounts, secure contract renewals, and increase product adoption and revenue per account.
  • Develop Account Plans: Create partner-specific account plans that deliver against goals and objectives, identify key risks, and lay out a path towards future growth opportunities.
  • Educate and Engage: Educate and engage customer and partner contacts by using relevant data and other tactics to ensure the customer is getting maximum value from their partnership with Civis.
  • Create Demand: Create demand for Civis’ products and services by developing trusted advisor relationships with key customer stakeholders, resellers, and partners; and by providing consistent updates and information about new products and capabilities.
  • Maintain Engagement Cadence: Establish and maintain a regular and organized cadence of engagement with customers, resellers, and partners to understand their needs, drive value with Civis’ products, deepen existing and develop new relationships, and link them to Civis’ product and future opportunities.
  • Forecast and Track: Forecast and accurately track account activity through the stages of the sales process in our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
  • Maintain Product Understanding: Maintain a strong understanding of Civis’s offerings and services and proactively identify solutions and opportunities that address key needs.

What We’re Looking For (Minimum Qualifications)

  • 4-5 years experience in Account Management with public sector or non-profit customers, preferably focusing on upsells and renewals of accounts.
    Knowledge and experience with Software-as-a-Service (SaaS).
  • Highly organized self-starter who is able to prioritize in a high-demand environment.
  • Excellent presentation, verbal, and writing skills are required.
  • Experience or familiarity with Salesforce and/or other CRM systems.
  • Experience and familiarity with analytics and its applications within organizations.
