About the Role: We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to develop and iterate on our lending infrastructure and products. This role is pivotal in building scalable, secure, and compliant lending systems that align with our focus on earned wage access and making America's workforce financially free. They will oversee the work of a sizable development team while constantly collaborating with design, finance, regulatory, and sales functions. The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical understanding of lending products, deep fintech experience, and the ability to work cross-functionally to drive impactful product development. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working against long-term goals as well as constantly searching for new areas to launch products. The right candidate will strive for elegant and beautiful solutions within a regulated and ever-changing fintech startup landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and execute the product roadmap for lending infrastructure, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Think deeply about our user feedback and user behavior, as well as pushing for new data collection means when necessary
- Work closely with engineering, compliance, and risk teams to develop secure and compliant lending solutions.
- Drive continuous improvements by iterating on lending models, underwriting processes, and risk frameworks.
- Take full ownership of challenges and opportunities within lending infrastructure, ensuring high-impact results.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience in lending products.
- Analyze data and market trends to inform decision-making and identify opportunities for innovation.
- Ensure regulatory compliance in lending products by working closely with legal and compliance teams.
- Operate with a startup mindset, embracing uncertainty and finding creative yet practical solutions to complex problems.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of product management experience, with a focus on fintech or lending products.
- Strong understanding of lending systems, underwriting models, and risk management frameworks is highly preferred.
- Experience working with compliance, finance, and legal teams in highly regulated environments.
- Proficiency in data-driven decision-making and analytics, as well as experience working with data teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills - you’ve likely built and iterated on project management processes.
- A strong sense of accountability, with the ability to take initiative and drive meaningful impact.
- Ability to execute and iterate quickly in a fast-paced startup environment, including a demonstrated ability to do initiative viability analysis quickly
Additional Details
Location: This is a hybrid position based out of New York City, you will be expected to come into the office at least three days a week (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, & Thursdays) with additional days on occasion for client meetings.
Compensation: The annual base salary for this role is $175,000-$185,000. The base pay for this role is determined using many factors, such as education, skills and experience and is reflective of Clair Series stage and size. Base pay is only one part of Clair’s competitive total compensation package which includes equity, benefits and additional perks. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
