Description:

We are seeking an experienced UX Designer to join our dynamic team. As a UX Designer at Clarity Innovations, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our products. On this team, you will join the design team and immerse yourself in the space domain working with the United States Space Force to develop a mobile and web friendly home for career, training and mission relevant information. 

 

As a key member of our design team, you may be required to perform the following tasks: ● Build user empathy through qualitative and quantitative research methods ● Synthesize findings and create actionable outcomes ● Advocate for end users in the application design development with research backed data ● Facilitate tailored product communication ● Monitor overall application look and feel

 

Minimum Experience Requirements

  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in UX Design, with experience launching products.
  • Strong knowledge of mobile and web-based software & applications.
  • Experience creating flow diagrams, wireframes, prototypes, and visual comps, with a strong portfolio that demonstrates this
  • Experience using Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, or other applicable design tools
  • Experience with the design and product development processes
  • Experience with early-stage design, ideation techniques, concept and usability testing, and other research methods
  • Excellent management, communication, and presentation skills
  • Experience collaborating with a team of programmers with varying skill sets
  • Experience balancing customer and user feedback to create a desirable solution
  • Experience with agile and lean philosophies

 

Non-Technical Competencies: 

  • Required: Strong communication/general soft skills
  • SHALL conduct themselves at all times in a professional and respectful manner in effort to uphold mutual respect across the organization
  • SHALL receive and provide feedback in a respectful and professional manner
  • SHALL be a “team player” and contribute to Clarity & Customer design culture

 

Preferred:

  • BA/BS or higher, in experience design, industrial design, HCI, or related field or 3 years of relevant work experience in UX, product design, and/or enterprise application fields
  • 3 years' experience with front end Javascript development
  • Experience in synthesizing findings and creating actionable outcomes
  • Experience includes User Centered Design (UCD) methods
  • Experience providing input on product decisions through user research, customer development, and iterative feedback loops
  • Experience working in a balanced team with other UX Designers to build, measure, and learn
  • Experience in the design and/or development of full-service applications 
  • Experience working in a rapid and iterative development environment 
  • Experience working in remote working environments
  • Knowledge of US Air Force and/or US Space Force digital trends and emerging technologies
  • Designer is eligible to obtain a SECRET level clearance or higher
  • Designer is open/able to travel for in-person meetings
