Position Overview
DANDIE (Data Acquisition Network for Delivery, Ingestion and Exploitation) is a new program that will serve as the strategic data platform designed to streamline the procurement, onboarding, consumption, and offboarding of CAI / PAI datasets as a reliable enabler of OCO missions. Built on OSS, COTS, and GOTS components and deployed on Kubernetes, DANDIE will support batch, streaming, and QiP cross-domain data workflows and gearing up to become the enterprise data hub for Cyber Command.
In this role, you will evaluate data utility and quality, identify trends and opportunities, and provide actionable insights that inform dataset procurement, onboarding prioritization, and operational usage decisions across DANDIE. You will help determine which datasets actually move the mission—by quantifying utility, quality, and impact.

- Evaluate dataset utility and quality using quantitative and qualitative measures
- Analyze datasets to identify trends, gaps, anomalies, and improvement opportunities
- Partner with the Lead Data Scientist and Metrics Engineer to align measures to mission objectives
- Develop clear narratives and visualizations communicating dataset strengths, weaknesses, and risk
- Provide insights supporting procurement and prioritization decisions (value-to-mission, readiness, cost efficiency)
- Support iterative refinement of metrics and methods based on platform usage and stakeholder feedback
- Contribute to building repeatable evaluation methodologies for new data sources

- Familiarity with structured/semistructured/unstructured data assets
- Experience supporting DoD/IC or regulated environments
- Exposure to metadata/catalog concepts (e.g., lineage, dataset registration, tagging)
- Familiarity with cross-domain data constraints and operational data handling realities
Work Environment
