Educational Consultant

San Francisco or remote

ClassDojo's goal is to give every child on Earth an education they love.

We started by building a powerful network for communication. ClassDojo’s flagship app is the #1 communication app connecting K-12 teachers, children, and families globally. Teachers use it to share what’s happening throughout the day through photos, videos, and messages that make parents feel like they’re there. It’s actively used in over 95% of US schools, reaching over 45 million children in 180 countries, with a team of just around 200 people [1]. We are now beginning to use this network to give kids the best learning experiences in the world, far beyond those a standard school can provide.

We hire for talent density. Our team comprises the most talented, entrepreneurial, and innovative teammates from around the world, with experience in education and large scale consumer internet companies, including Instagram, Netflix, Dropbox, Stripe, Uber, Y Combinator, and more. We’re building a company where the most talented people want to work. We believe you’ll do the best work of your life here—and you’ll pioneer the future of education, too.

What you’ll do:

You’ll be at the front lines of family engagement, conducting high-trust consultations with parents to assess their child’s academic goals and recommend tailored tutoring solutions from Dojo Tutor. You'll convert warm leads from key cohorts (canceled subscribers, inactive trial users, and account creators) into active subscribers by providing expert guidance and personalized service. Your impact will extend beyond individual sales—your insights will help refine product offerings and messaging across the org. You’ll manage and document all activity in the CRM, contribute to sales process optimization, and consistently hit daily and monthly performance targets.

Over your first 12–18 months, you’ll:

  • Conduct high-quality, trust-based consultations with parents from targeted cohorts.
  • Convert assigned leads into active subscribers at a strong conversion rate.
  • Provide structured feedback to influence product and service improvements.
  • Maintain accurate and timely CRM records to support follow-ups and performance analytics.
  • Meet or exceed daily call quotas and monthly revenue goals.

You'll be a match if:

  • You have a background in education (minimum 2 years of classroom teaching preferred) or inside sales in the education sector.
  • You’re confident leading consultative conversations with families and helping them make thoughtful educational decisions.
  • You have experience working toward clear metrics and thrive on exceeding performance targets.
  • You communicate with empathy and insight, and can build trust in under 15 minutes.
  • You're eager to experiment with outreach and messaging and share your learnings to improve team performance.
  • You’re highly organized and accountable—CRM hygiene isn’t just a checkbox, it’s your habit.
  • You have a stable, distraction-free remote work environment with a reliable high-speed internet connection.

You'll be a good match if:

  • You’ve worked in edtech, tutoring, or education-focused customer success roles.
  • You’re a natural experimenter who likes testing what messaging works best for different parent personas.
  • You enjoy working cross-functionally and want to have a voice in how a product evolves based on family needs.
  • You spot process gaps and suggest tools or workflows that make things faster, smarter, or clearer.
  • You're looking for a role that blends your love for education with your drive to hit goals and make a measurable impact.
