Senior Mechanical Systems Engineer

As our Senior Mechanical Systems Engineer, you'll help optimize our core platform through subsystem improvements, and continue developing upon our proof of concept. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on engineer that enjoys working in an innovative startup environment. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the improvement strategy of our cold plasma seed treatment equipment
  • Contribute to subsystem optimization across mechanical, electrical, and control engineering domains
  • Design and implement test beds for system validation and improvement
  • Support equipment commissioning and stability improvements
  • Build robust validation processes for new subsystems
  • Collaborate with recipe development team on equipment handoffs

  • Systems thinker who excels at cross-domain problem solving
  • Strong communicator comfortable participating in technical discussions with non-technical stakeholders
  • Comfort working in an agile startup environment
  • Self-directed individual contributor who can drive collaborative initiatives
  • Results-oriented professional focused on equipment stability and performance
  • Leverages a network of subject matter experts and industry connections for ideating and problem solving technical challenges

Desired Experience:

  • B.S or M.S. in Systems, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of hands-on engineering experience in industrial equipment; preference will be given to experience with mass handling
  • Experience working in an early stage startup highly preferred
  • Strong knowledge across mechanical, electrical, and control engineering
  • Experience with system integration projects
  • History of improving engineering processes and practices
  • Ability to balance technical rigor with practical execution
