Director of EDI & NetSuite Integration

Remote or hybrid, Utah preferred

The Director of EDI & NetSuite Integration will lead the strategy, implementation, and optimization of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) processes and NetSuite integrations to support Clean Simple Eats’ rapid retail growth. This role will ensure seamless data flow between internal systems, third-party logistics (3PL) providers, and major retail partners like Target while driving efficiency, accuracy, and scalability. This position reports to the VP of Operations.

Key Responsibilities

EDI & NetSuite Management:

  • Oversee all EDI transactions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of orders, invoices, ASNs, and other retail partner requirements.
  • Optimize NetSuite integrations with EDI, 3PLs, and key retail platforms to ensure seamless data exchange and automation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve EDI-related errors and discrepancies, minimizing order failures and delays.
  • Collaborate with supply chain teams to maintain and improve NetSuite workflows, custom scripts, and automations.

Retail & Supply Chain Integration:

  • Work closely with major retail partners (Target, etc.) to meet their EDI compliance requirements.
  • Ensure smooth SKU setup, inventory syncing, and order fulfillment across all retail channels.
  • Partner with warehousing and logistics teams to optimize inbound/outbound data flows and improve real-time visibility.

Process Improvement & Compliance:

  • Continuously assess and streamline EDI workflows to reduce manual processes and errors.
  • Maintain compliance with retailer-specific EDI standards, working proactively to meet evolving requirements.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs for EDI performance, order accuracy, and system uptime.

Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Lead and mentor a small team or external partners managing EDI & NetSuite processes.
  • Work cross-functionally with supply chain, sales ops, and finance to ensure alignment on data and process requirements.
  • Act as the primary liaison between Clean Simple Eats and EDI service providers, NetSuite consultants, and third-party tech vendors.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 7-10 years of experience managing EDI systems and NetSuite ERP in a high-growth CPG, food & beverage, or retail environment.
  • Deep knowledge of EDI transactions (850, 810, 856, 940, 945, 997, etc.) and how they interact with NetSuite.
  • Experience with NetSuite ERP customizations, integrations, and scripting.
  • Strong understanding of retail compliance requirements, 3PL integrations, and inventory management.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and optimize EDI workflows, reducing errors and improving efficiency.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional projects and work collaboratively across operations and finance.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a process-driven approach to scaling systems.

Preferred Experience

  • Prior experience working with major retailers (Target, Walmart, Amazon, etc.) on EDI integration.
  • Knowledge of iPaaS solutions (Celigo, Boomi, or similar) for NetSuite integrations.
  • Experience in food & beverage or supplement industries is a plus.

Salary: $140,000 annually
